Never was a big Guitar Hero fan. Of course that could be because I can play a real guitar but maybe that's just me. I tried the game when I bought my Xbox 360 and I just did not like it I didn't like the feel of the guitar and you can't cover every note on a guitar with only four buttons.

This reminds me of the days when people were telling Danny Johnson the same thing, and eventually after he got sponsored by some guitar companies, it was only a few months before he was putting up videos shredding legendary songs on a real guitar. Getting proficient with Guitar Hero I think definitely translates to having the potential to learn the real guitar far more quickly since you do develop unprecedented hand and finger dexterity, and a much better sense of rhythm after becoming proficient with Guitar Hero. I've seen this too many times with a lot of people on the Guitar Hero community, it's undeniable that Guitar Hero gives you a lot of tools you need to become a good real guitar player quickly.
