This first outing really cuts deep and it’s fun to watch people react to it, because it’s not what they expect. The sequel’s are more what people expect, but this one cuts deep:)
ОтветитьAt the end Rambo was taken to a military prison, where Rambo 2 starts off....
ОтветитьI didn’t have Rambo action figures but I did have like 8 GIJO action figures plus a Terminator 2 figure of Arnold
ОтветитьRight after this movie came out, me and my friends all got replica Rambo knives (we were 10yrs -12yrs old), and we were in the woods running around like Rambo, trying out our own survival skills. Yes, even the Replica Rambo knives came with a first-aid kit in the knife handle. At 51 years old now, I still carry a survival knife in my truck, with an altoids kit in the sheath...all because of this movie.
ОтветитьThe skinny Irish white guy : we ain't hunting him...he hunting us
ОтветитьTroutman knew what he was doing. Giving his boy a heads up
ОтветитьUna auténtica obra maestra siempre denostada por supuestos especialistas en cine que de lo único que realmente entienden es de cobrar y callar.
ОтветитьThat last emotional scene gets me thinking and VERY angry at society ,for how veterans were treated upon returning home. It wasn't just the vets of the 'Nam war, but ALL of the wars ever fought. Many of today's veterans are still treated negatively even in the VA and many are homeless and or are committing suicide ,because they are being neglected by society and not getting the help they need. many DO get some kind of help, but it's not enough. Something needs to be done better to help all veterans asap.
ОтветитьA classic, this a true classic
ОтветитьI think there's four or five Rambo movies now. One will always be a great movie, all the other ones are entertaining blood baths.
ОтветитьI saw this movie when it 1st came out, it was great then, now watching you two, its a riot, thanks for the entertainment.
ОтветитьThats the First RAMBO not the Second One 😉😉😉😉
ОтветитьEek! Don't attach that godawful name to the title. First Blood was fantastic. The sequels, all with Rambo in the name, sucked.
Definitely one of Stallone's best acted films. There's a lot of action, but a good bit of heartfelt drama as well. Much better than his cheesy action films.
They went with "show don't tell" and it ended up going right past a lot of people. Sheriff Will Teasle and Deputy Sgt Art Galt were both Korean War vets and look down on Vietnam vets. When Teasle sat behind his desk just past his shoulder to the left of the frame and under the lamp shade you can see some military medals that belong to the Sheriff.
You did correctly see this was based on a novel, it has the same name "First Blood." In the novel Rambo is more of a bad guy than in the film. While the cops pushed him, he deserved it unlike the film. Also in the novel Rambo kills everyone. In the film only the one deputy dies, and it's his own fault. The last change from the book to the screen is that Rambo deletes himself at the end of the book (and the first ending of the film), they ended up changing it to have him instead walk out with Troutman.
Hell yeah it's a novel, and that Rambo is way more bad ass
ОтветитьRemember seeing this in the theaters back in the day.
ОтветитьMy name is Alton Conner can ya'll plzs watch men of honor u will love it trust me staring Cuba Gooding jr & Robert de Niro
ОтветитьIn the opening scene that lady was talking about "Agent Orange " (Orange stuff) incase you want to google it to learn more about it.
ОтветитьThe US sprayed a toxic chemical in the Vietnam jungles to try and kill the vegetation which would lesson the cover for the Vietcong. It was extremely toxic and caused lots of US troops to get cancer when they came home. Worse was what it did to Vietnamese civilians, even today there’s babies form deformed because of it.
ОтветитьRambo 2 , 3, 4 , 5 😊 please.
ОтветитьI saw this in 1982 in the theater, great movie. thanks 🙂
ОтветитьThe kind of thing that most of Vietnam soldiers was catching on the field was called the orange agent it's a chemical that the government was using all the plants and trees in order for the enemy not to use the plants and the trees that usually works in their favor this chemical did work however the Vietnam soldiers got it the worst more than the enemy itself. I love this movie first blood I've watched it so many times I haven't watched this movie in a long time I just started reading the book and I have to say the book is more interesting than the movie itself.
ОтветитьIt’s based on a novel called “First Blood”. There are a few differences, though. The book is set in the Appellation Mountains, and the movie is based in the Pacific Northwest. (It was filmed in British Columbia, but it is assumed that this is all happening in Washington state.)
The other major difference is that in the book, Rambo dies. He decided that there’s no place for him in this new world.
They actually hired the author of First Blood to write the novelization of the sequel. In his Forward on the book, he talks about how weird it is to be writing the story of a character he had i
killed years ago. Stallone wanted to have the option to do sequels. Which was apparently a good idea, given that they’ve done Rambo 6.
Usually when the MC beats his main enemy, that’s the big moment. After that, you’re just cleaning stuff up. But shooting the sheriff was just a thing that happened to build towards the real climax.
ОтветитьKilling machine? He didn't kill a single person. He could have easily.
ОтветитьBobby flay was great
ОтветитьWhen this movie came out it was just called First Blood. It wasn't until the sequel, Rambo, that they went back and changed the name of the first film.
ОтветитьIn an interview, Stallone said that he got the ending changed. Instead of having a sequel, the original ending was that Colonel Chapman would had shot him. So what we got is an ending open for a sequel.
ОтветитьThe movie that made Stallone one of my idols.....
ОтветитьMy uncle passed away the last year from Agent Orange. Give us an Air Force jet mechanic in the Vietnam War
ОтветитьMost people remember Rambo 2 and Rambo 3, that's where it was over the top action, military operations, unrealistic carnage
Rambo 1 was actually just called "First Blood", it wasn't even called Rambo, they added that title in later
This is the movie that started the legend, a "prequel" if you will except it was shot first, and yeah, that analogy didn't make sense except all of Gen X saw Rambo 2/3 first then went back to watch First Blood, it didn't do so well in theaters
Do Predator 1 next. Another great one from same era
ОтветитьThe Film was shot in Hope, British Columbia, Canada
ОтветитьNot Rambo FB it's just FIRST BLOOD
ОтветитьThe next one is called RAMBO: First Blood part 2
ОтветитьHe did this and Rocky 3 in 1982
ОтветитьAgent orange killed so many soldiers in Nam & civilians in nam. This creep sheriff was in Korea & hated Vietnam guys as his soldiers didn't get the protests & attention the Vietnam vets got. All that sheriff had to do was let him get some food!!
ОтветитьPolice mistreatment of Vietnam vets was a very real thing for a long time.
ОтветитьRambo 4 still the best
ОтветитьThis remains my favorite of all the Rambo movies, as it completely humanizes the character, and doesnt devolve into the whole near-Superman-vigilante stuff in the later movies. 'Nam vets really felt this one as well as another gem, "Platoon". Good choice.
ОтветитьRocky came out in 1976 before Rambo
Ответить💯👍
ОтветитьThe Novel was First Blood
ОтветитьNo they were National Guard
ОтветитьM60 is a belt fed machine gun
ОтветитьHe mainly just wanted Teasle dead the rest of them he really didn't care about
ОтветитьI wonder if Teasle was awake during Rambo’s monologue
ОтветитьThe sheriff gets paid to keep the town quite? Really good job of that! I'd say the town needs to get their money back!
ОтветитьSmall editing error in the beginning you played the first scene twice
Ответить
