This was INSANELY helpful!! Thank you!!
ОтветитьAwesome, thanks. So smart turning the logic around and not creating several databases and trying to link them in one (What is nevertheless not possible) you create one master and use this as a reference 🤯 Love it! It helped me a lot!
ОтветитьThanks, i set this up. I have a "home page" with a calendar view database linked back to the master database.
On that home page, if i add a task on the master calendar, the task comes up with every single property.
Any way around that?
i see this video is from 2 years ago - is this still the best way to do this? or has notion solved for this natively?
ОтветитьI can report, however, some success transferring selects, tags and multi-selects provided the values exist in the destination.
ОтветитьGreat video but struggling to merge fields that may be auto-generated. I would like to be able to retain things like Created Date and Reported By but you cannot do so, you cannot even rename these and merge them to a different date or text field. Formula fields are also a problem - if you have any tips, I'd be grateful!
Ответитьthe way i liked and subscribed with a quickness! thank you! been wondering how to do this for years! 💜
ОтветитьWow! Thanks much! Very excited to merge our Content database with our Events/conferences Database and be able to see it all on the calendar!!!
Ответитьthank you! I've been searching for how to connect all my to-do lists from different databases and I think this might just be the best way to run my Notion account...simplify is my moto this year! Beautiful!
ОтветитьWhy just notion can’t have a central Calendar by default ?
Ответить2023 and this video helped me a lot! I was looking for a way to get together my calendars from different activities to be more productive. So, THANK U!
ОтветитьHi Red,
Just want to confirm that the dropdown view is no longer available in Notion right?
Because I tried to add a view, but it is not showing as dropdown, it looks more like added tab like in excel.
Can you please confirm? or is there a way to make it a dropdown view list like the one in your video?
Thanks a lot in advance. you are so helpful your videos help me a lot at my work.
Hi Red, thanks for the video! I've got a question which seems too hard for me to figure out. I have a brand design studio and each time a client signs they get their own Notion dashboard (based of a template, which I fill out for each client). This includes a Project Overview table with dates for each milestone within our project. I am now looking to automatically have these milestone dates transferred to my master calendar - how would you approach this?
Ответитьthis is all going over my head. i think i need to backtrack to the intro lesson lol. this is exactly what i'm trying to do, i guess i don't understand why are you changing the properties to text. can't you still drag and drop, just reorganize beforehand?
edit: I watched the beginning back a few times............and then i saw it............
the BIG YELLOW NOTE titled "Why a text property?" 🤦🏻♂🤦🏻♂🤦🏻♂
Thanks so much! is there a way to do this while maintaining the tasks in their original databases - but getting them to also appear in the new master database?
ОтветитьAbsolutely loved it! I just made a master first and then made linked views, but lovedd this!
ОтветитьLife saver! Thanks!
ОтветитьOMG! I spent the last 12 hours literally looking to do that!!! Thank you so much, you are a gem!!!
ОтветитьYou Helped me a LOT!!, I´m so glad for that, THANK YOU, GOD BLESS YOU!!
ОтветитьE searched this in all the web and you the only people teaching that
ОтветитьHello! Is it possible to link two databases to one table?
ОтветитьThank you so much! You explained this really well and felt that the speed of the video was new user friendly. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!
ОтветитьNot really merging though is it. That is just moving the properties to another DB/Table via drag and drop than populating onto a calendar which it natively does from calendar view.
ОтветитьI don't leave comments often, but this really saved me!
ОтветитьRed, you’re a gem! I’ve actually been really struggling with managing my time, as I’ve got so many activities that I’m venturing into, and have been looking for ways to merge all of my notion to do lists as they’ve been getting out of hand. So this is an absolute lifesaver. I can’t thank you enough honestly!
ОтветитьThis is what I needed! Thankss!
ОтветитьHeyy! Thank you for your work 🙏🙏 but still I have a question : How can I do with my Relations / Rollups / Formulas ?
Thank you 😊
How about relation property
ОтветитьAwesome vid, thanks for the help.
Ответитьwhen you take from the other databases does that mean they're gone from their original source?
Ответитьist this then automated ? that whenever i change something it changes here aswell ?
ОтветитьThank you sooooo much!!!!! Sooo helpful!!
Ответитьgot the help i was looking for! highly informative and easy to follow, thank you sooo much!!!
ОтветитьYou are a true angel. Thank you for this video. My family and I genuinely appreciate the time you spent to give back to the world. 🙏🤟💌
ОтветитьThank you so much! I just started using Notion and want to create a futureproof all-in-one system with multiple workspaces. And for that I need a single master calendar for all the various tasks, and I couldn't quite figure out how.
Ответитьomg you deserve more subs thank you so much!!
ОтветитьThis is so hard to understand and follow
ОтветитьAABSURD quality of speech and display of talent and work, thank you and congratulations.
ОтветитьThis is sooo helpful, thank you so much! Just a quick question that has been preventing me from merging my datas after watching your video: how can I do if I have several dates in each item of one of my databases, for them to appear as well (example: I have one page per photo session, but then I have in it the shooting date, and then the photo selection date and the sending date, for me to keep in mind my deadlines). Thank you so much in advance!
ОтветитьYou resolved my problem. Was a simple thing, but sometimes whe just dont see it.
ОтветитьThank you so very much for this, Red! It answered all the gaps and voids of information in my head about trying to consolidate and harmonize my Notion system. Liked & Subscribed!
ОтветитьThanks for the tut Red. This was cool. It's too bad that this is such a manual task. Simple enough with small databases with only a handful of properties... but when I've got databases with a hundred or so properties, and others with only <10, it seems unreasonable to merge them into 1 master database. I really just wish that Notion offered a calendar view that could reference multiple databases, find date-related properties, and display them on the appropriate days in the calendar.
ОтветитьYou just broke my brainium
Ответитьthank you sooo much
ОтветитьThanks very clean and easy to understand. I wish all videos are like yours.
ОтветитьTHANK YOU. your channel its the best for notion for sure! ive watched almost 10 videos already and you helped in every one of them. My notion is functional for my company in a way a never imagined. Thank youuuu
ОтветитьSo relieved I searched for this before trying to manually bring over entries! Super helpful explanation - thank you !!
ОтветитьYou're an angel. This is exactly what I wanted!
ОтветитьThis is fantastic!!
Ответитьthank you so much!!!!!! ive been struggling to merge two notion templates for the past two weeks <3
