I can’t actually tell anyone this, although I wish I could, especially my ex. This song reminds me so much of our halcyon nights together, on the phone, giggling to each other because it was so late that anything we said or did was hilarious to us. It reminds me of their voice, how amazing it sounds when they sing and how much I reveled it so much since it would always make me sleep whenever I couldn’t do it myself. I had kept that relationship clandestine for so long, and then all of that changed so fast. In the night before my birthday, it’s the nadir of everything. My parents found out about my two biggest secrets, the ones that could either end everything with them or my love. It’s been a really rough 11 months now, and I still can’t forget how my loves voice sounded when I told them that I couldn’t leave and be with them. That because the world hates all of us and is so against us, that it would do anything in its power to stop us from existing. My heart shattered into nothingness when I said my last 'I love you' and they never answered me back, and that there last words to me were 'I hate you for doing this to me'. After I lost contact, I haven’t tried to regain it, because I don’t want to hurt them again. Because like that phrase, 'if you really love them, let them go'. And as much as I’ve tried to let them go, I can’t, I want to talk with them again, hear them say my name, debate with me about how difficult it is to say refrigerator, tell me they love me so much more because they’re taller than me. But the world is against our relationship, whether I like it or not, we can’t be together at all. I’ll miss them every single time I listen to this song, because RY X voice sound so much like my loves whenever they sang to me. I love you V, and I always will love you more than you will ever love me.

this is the only song that will make me cry everytime i listen to it. i listened to it constantly when me and my first love were going through a rough patch in our relationship. she has since passed away. this song now hits me 10x harder. i loved her so much, never once did i ever think this would happen to someone in my life, never mind someone i pictured my future with. she was only 18.
