I made a research. Some of the student's experiences said that Lambda doesn't just teach u. They dont just show u the skills/how to write a resume or how to set up ur portfolio. They hustle with u. So for them, its worth their money. And oh! DISNEYLAND 😍😍 someday, somehow 😊

yeah you are right that the "more famous something gets, the more criticism it gets" but its a very rare case for an organization to be good and still receiving criticism. Nowadays people have made business out of everything. school colleges are now a business and the insiders can only know whats happening. The world knows outer part and the insider knows inner part.

Not worth it. I got kicked out after 2 months and you still owe them money. So if you go through another Bootcamp or self learn, you will owe lambda money even if they had zero to do with your success. There are cheaper and better choices out there.

I’ve been in Lambda school for about 9 months (part time schedule as I work full time still). I’m halfway through CS unit 1, and I haven’t even gotten a whiff of a scam this far. Lots of changes currently going on some great, and some not so great. But I couldn’t recommend Lambda school enough. Take what I say at face value, cause ultimately you need to make the decision to take the dive on your own. You’re going to work hard, but it’s going to pay off in spades.

Are adjusting desks good for back pain?

if you’re based in Europe I would say consider other bootcamps like Makers. What is marketed isn’t exactly what you get in European countries. Lambda has 0 partners and most of the good alumni end up working for Lambda because they can’t find jobs.

I’m in a coding accelerated program in Omaha and the teacher teaches as if we all know what we are doing. She is getting quite frustrated with us and it’s been 4 weeks but her teaching style is very different. I paid 6K but I feel like I have learned syntax a s that’s basically it. She did a brief rush of Java and then gave an assignment. She has us copy and paste code and I told her I can’t learn that way. I am going to sign up for Lambda and tell them tonight in class. I want to succeed not fail on top of it I’m learning more in my Udemy courses which I got on sale for $9.99

Huge fan here . But I think you did miss quite a bit. As an ex lambda student who dropped out a lot has changed since you left. First off they removed TL’s and now all work is not graded. They replaced the paid TL with a forced unpaid mentor . They removed access to the whole TK and now students can not work ahead . also they broke laws in several states including my state “Texas”. Instead of admitting the broke the law and trying to approved. They swept it under the rug as long as they could in hopes they could still get people from Texas to pay even the the governer said all the ISA’s are void. This school is also completely built off of free resources . I ended up dropping out because I had been as learning so much more from Udemy and free code camp.

Another huge point is talking about why people think lambda is a scam. Many students have been trying to post on reddit warning potential students if there experience. Instead of letting all opinions talk and giving potential students the way hope picture . Austen Allred daily Deletes negative reddit posts. Don’t believe me ? Try it yourself . Go post on reddit anything negative they will take it down within hours...

Another reason many people think it’s a scam is basically all code schools do 3rd party reporting with CIRR . Lambda refuses and actually does there own in house reporting. The problem is they play with the number so much they are not showing you the true “get a job numbers” they water down there total by not counting people who don’t respond or not counting people to go don’t graduate. Look at their numbers and take the start number and find how many ended up getting jobs and remove all there “adjustments” and less than 30 percent actually get jobs.

Lambda claims there interest are aligned and they don’t get paid until you do . This is another complete lie. All ISA’s are bundles and sold to investors Long before you even finish school. All of the money they have made this far is venture capital money. Lambda is just another VC funded brainchild in the form of a code school. This is why they tried growing so fast even though there product was failing the few people it already reached... why would lambda remove the whole training kit and the beloved TL that is what really helped so many people ? Is it because of it will help you get a job ? Because if your interests are totally self aligned they should only do things they help the student . Not hurt the student and help there bottom line

Lambda will be here for a while. Hey hey just got another 65 million in venture capital. But don’t be fooled. Attending this bootcamp will be the biggest mistake you ever made. I dropped out of lambda went to hack reactor and got a coding a week after grad. I still talk to a ton of my lambda friends . They say they slashed the curriculum from 9 months down to 6 with all these other terrible changes and most of them have not been hired

What are your thoughts of Lambda getting review bombed on like SwitchUp or Course Report and even Reddit? Recently I have only seen mostly negative reviews about Lambda as of December 2020.

Yes! Do your research! If anybody is looking through the comments, Lambda School's program has changed drastically since this video. Such as Dummy Codes had the opportunity to be a TL, which the school has since dropped.

Just curious if find a coding job after graduated, for some reasons if I quite the job after 2 months will they keep charge your 17% monthly even though you do not work? and also if I do not pass the quiz and withdrew the courses on the middle then I have to pay out of my own packet?

Bootcamps are best for people who want experience with projects. Single topics are best for free online sources, Udemy ($20), or Coursera ($49 per month to $400 annual payment).

I blinked and left for a month OOPS. ANYWAYS I do home you guys are doing your own research when forming any type of opinion, especially while looking to join a bootcamp. NOTHING is perfect NOTHING works for EVERYONE. The goal is to learn as much as possible and NOT feel as if you wasted your money or time during your journey.
