You know what, being rich is not the way to be happy. In my humble opinion, no one should strive to be rich. Just having enough to pay your way and a little extra when all is said and done is the key to happiness. The more one has - the more they spend. And in my ripe old age I have seen the most miserable people I've encountered are wealthy. Perhaps that's why the Lord says the love of money is the root of all evil- He created us, right? The happiest folks live simply, are skilled at managing their money and it makes them feel good about themselves. I have also found that shopping for moderately priced goods/clothing has done me well. I still have all those pieces from years ago - many I have donated that were in excellent condition. Over-priced clothing and shoes are just that! Over-priced!

I work at a large engineering school in Georgia.. in my role I work in philanthropy/fundraising/development.. my job in particular is to get funds from corporations…. Most schools will however tell you that their philanthropic dollars come from individuals or couples. Some are alums , but others just want to find an organization to give to.

I recommend you read The Millionaire Nextdoor. It is hands down the most direct knowledge passed on about wealth and who the real rich are. It is life changing. I lost interest in shopping for clothes after this book. If we want a wealthy lifestyle, we need to learn how to hold on to money and grow it. Great video as always! 👏

great advice i wish my younger self had learned. a bit late for me now, but i try to do some of them and hope that IF i can retire because i switched up my game late as it might be, it will be because i have followed some of this advice. i would say about 4 or 5 years ago i started doing some of this. you are wonderful to share these tips!

I appreciate that not everyone is born in to money, but some are, and we all should still acknowledge that there are people are just are born into money and connections and institutional inequality still exists. To be successful is very much based on personal opinion, not blaming others etc is valid, although to say that all rich and successful people worked hard for their success is an over simplification of a wider issue.
