Dawg I was so sure I was gonna easily deal with biome spread until I learnt about the god forsaken V that spawns like cmon man its so annoying especially on large worlds might as well just use the grid based method and just dig 4 block wide tunnels every nook and cranny of my world

currently preparing for wof im concernerd about the isolation of the V that wof spawns, what should i do? i need to isolate in a V format too or should i just dig up to hell? pls i need sum help

Dug a helevator (using dynamite) and placed non corruptible blocks on the edges (gray brick) also removed the walls. I basically boxed out the corruption pre hardmode (making sure I wasnt missing any blocks). And I also dug several hellevators (2 on each side at the end of jungle, dessert, snow and corruption. But at the start of hardmode my jungle was corrupted and it spread through my dessert for some reason. Any help? T.T I spread the hallow instead so that it cancels out until I get steampunker

I was able to get the Mushroom pylon with the Goblin tinkerer, Mechanic, and Demolitionist npc’s somehow.

on my mobile playthrough i found that hardmode biomes come up at different places in the same world that i copied several times. that should go for pc trr as well

Edit: now on 1.4.4 should i only quarantine the evil biome? Because altars don't spawn evil biome now

You really dont need to go this in depth about preventing biome spread for something thats aimed at beginners. All you need to do is bomb out a big hole to quarantine the evil biome without even digging underneeth it. The evil biomes spread fast on the surface but very slowly underground so if you just make a big crater on each side of the evil biome it will take an unbelievably long time to spread to the surface in that time you will have already beaten the game 3 times.

Im a complete new player and I dont really know anything about the game but i did know about corruption but im still kind confused how it works and my base is near the red biome should I be concerned?

I’m not entirely understanding how big these little containment areas are because In some clips you only mine two blocks wide down and In others your full on blowing up huge areas downwards. Im kinda confused

genuinely the biome spread is the one thing that just completely demotivates me when playing terraria, I think its an awful mechanic

I just built my pylon villages, despite already having defeated all mech bosses 😂 I was always too lazy to do it and I can't really build, so the "villages" are just cubes of wood where people live in
