I have the laptop Latitude 7400 16gb ram, i7 8th and it has a Thunderbolt 3 port so, would it be fine for a eGPU? It is not cheep but i do not want a Gamer laptop.

I am concerned about the eletricity distribution. What is the input for the eGPU? I assume that very often, the distribution of electricity in a laptop are fairly optimized. Therefore, adding another extra electronic to work, will overwork the initial system of the laptop?

Very skim the surface level on this. Came up as top Google result of "how do i know when my thunderbolt graphics card is working" which this video DOES NOT ADDRESS at all. Not helpful to me at all and a waste of my time. I did have a friend who could not get it thru his head that USB-C and Thunderbolt were different tho and this helped.

a few months ago i was telling my friend about my idea about what if you put a graphics card and cpu that you plug into your computer to improve it. i walked around marvelling in my genius. then i did a google search and i have egg on my face.
