Question, how do you level an ascended weapon? do i need to ascend a second weapon and then use that to refine??

In Transformers Legends (before it folded) if you combined a maximum upgraded weapon with another maximum upgraded weapon, you got a max trans max weapon, and if you did that 4 times you got the best weapon you could make of that. Does Genshin work that way or do you just combine weapons then upgrade them...I have 2 level 60 Travelers Swords which regenerate hitpoints from elemental energy and 2 Otherworldly Stories, with the same. I don't want to keep buffing them if I won't enjoy the fruits of those buffs.

How to unlock equipment??

Im using Diluc with a prototype archaic, currently, it is level60. I crafted another prototype archaic with level 1 but i am not able to use it to refine my level 60 weapon .. any help

If i have a lvl 70 5 star weapon and i got another one lvl 1. Well if i refine it will make it lvl 1?

How do I refine a weapon that has a lock next to it?

Is there a difference in level when refining. Example if I refine a level 70 with another level 70, will it be a difference from refining with a level 1

To afraid to lvl anything up because I'm sticking with free and don't want to waste resources that I don't understand yet

What do you mean to refine a weapon, players will need to have another one of that exact same weapon? I have lvel 90 weapon, I need to get the same weapon, and level it up to lvl 90 in order to be able to "refine" it?

So basically just go for 3 star weapons cuz its easier to refine right?

question: if i refine a level 40 weapon for a level 70 weapon, does it boost more than using a level 1 weapon for refinement?

I was thinking to refine prototype for beidou but i regret after it crafted because i afraid i wasted them.

for some reason when i go into refine, there is a duplicate weapon to my weapon, but its darkened and i cannot select the weapon for refinement! Is there a reason why this is happening? Can i fix it??

Hey, I was wondering why I can't refine my weapon (it's a 4 star sword) I already ascend it to phase 3 and when I got another duplicate of it (I craft it at the blacksmith guy place), but the duplicate sword didn't appear in my inventory and when I try to refine my weapon it doesn't work (The sword does appear when I picked a weapon to refine it, but I can't pick the weapon and the sword looks a bit darker?). Can you explain what I should do? I was so confused about what I should do...
