TUTORIAL: How to play EAW Remake Part 1

Will the mod get the possiblity to play all campaigns (empire, rebels, zann consortium) and also smaller galactic conquest with around 15 to 20 planets? ^^

Your amazing. I can't say anything else. You've given us the closest thing we're gonna get to a real EAW 2 until those pricks at EA give Petroglyph the OK to develop the second one for real (Petroglyph petitioned EA to try and amke one but EA being EA didn't do naything about it the pricks).

Something I didn't get about the freighters.
Are they units that appear in battle like ISD ?
Or are they special upgrades attached to the planet ?

I didn't play GC for a while so it's the first time I see it in the mod

For any one intersted  one reason it may lags so much is the fighters the modmaker has to many in each ship so the engine cant handle all the individual fighters on the battle at once  what i did in his other mod old republic at war mod i just tried to cut the number of fighters in half and it ran much better.

I know more fighters makes it epic but not everyone has a beast computer some of us just have bad computers and so we cant play the mod mainly later on in the game because the later ships have more fighter in each one, i ask you and others to tell/ask the modmaker if he can reduce the number of fighter or make a alternative version with less fighters so both people with beast computers and bad computers can experienc his mod.

I say all this with experiance mainly with ORAW but also a little with remake befor you took down the old version i had the same problem and i did the same thing and it helped a lot.

I have a sugestion for the modmaker when i play old republic at war it lags so i tried to cut the number of fighters the ships deploy at one time and a lot of the lag was gone, i have a request mainly for Remake but if you ever get back to ORAW then maybe you could do the same thing or/if you work with idk the people making old republic ultimate war anyway i will get to it now, could you reduce the number of fighters for each ship or make a alternative version that dose the same, so people who dont have beast computers can play your mod because i could not  play after a certian point because of all the ships that have so many fighters, i know that lots of fighters looks epic but not everyone can afford a beast computer and it means that a lot more people cant play the mod and people who can afford a decent computer could play the mod with less lag.

Realy love ORAW old republic era is the best era espacialy with good graphics and effects ect.

Nice video! The newly added music makes the battles so much more epic :D Also there is something incredibly satisfying about the Victory-class when they have their missile-flaps opened...

- Is there a release date yet for the "full-version"?
- Have you touched (changed) ground combat in any way yet?
- Should you not be worried about a ©-Strike because of the music? Don't know how the law is in this case...

hey Dutchman I tried to download the light version of this mod twice and it tuned into a non file pdf thing both times I am not sure what it is called when this happens but I can't download it properly

Hmmm.... I'm able to churn out these ships just be controlling the core worlds with a couple more in the outer rim.

How can I play the mod? what I have to download?

it hurts my computer.... its good though... better than other mods i played... well there was those RaW Submods.... but i like this if i my computer doesn't go slow down everytime i battle over a planet.

I downloaded the RAR-File and unziped it. Then i created a Mods folder in the corruption folder of the game and placed the File in there. I tried two different shortcuts. One with steam and the other directly in the corruption folder. Both with MODPATH=Mods/EAW-Remake_Light. But still only the vanilla game starts. Am i missing something?

Freighters are in the light version.

Question: playing as the rebels you are able to improve your x-wings and y-wings after stealing their tech from the Empire, but after affording the x-wing upgrade on one planet it still persists on all my others. How do those upgrades work?

What hardware are you using and what Resolution? Just curious cause I have a 960 geforce with an old i7 [email protected], 6 gigs of ram. The game is crashing on highest resolution settings during the menu browsing, low detail settings. Wondering if I need a bigger card and more ram.

Every time I try to play this mod it crashes in loading

I think itll be better if the unit cap is limited to 50. I have a 1080gtx and the AI and I had both 100 units and it was really laggy and the battle really dragged on.

How can I get the actual mod? It's not on Steam anymore, and ModDB only has the Lite version.

Guys as a tip for getting the amount of credits is to create a bottleneck around your empire i have played both sins of a solar empire and SW EPAW and they are both the same in strategy the AI isnt too bright at stopping you i have spent countless hours testing different factions on hard mode and brutal and always have a back up fleet . This is awesome Dutchman cant wait for this to come out finally someone with talent to make a starwars game decent this is even better than the movie battles

Im new to EAW so this tutorial often made zero sense :P

I have never played EAW and there are no in game tutorials so this was very confusing. It all went very fast and i still dont know how to play the game
