We treat the 2 New Resolutions with love and care because Ultra Wide Monitors are just a fucken cheat code worst than wall hacks. Its gonna take until the PS6 to pretend that is also a new supported feature one day but for now the entire console community is gonna just pretend that 21:9 doesn't exist.

Can it still do 120 fps

Add Gameslists on the home screen
2) add the ability to filter in gameslists
3) let us re-order games in a list in any order we want (just copy how the Switch does it).
4) let us pick a thumbnail picture/background picture for gamelists
5) Add A Search option to the Collection and Gamelists so we can search for a specific game or series (ex: type in ‘Assassin’s Creed’ to see a list of all games in the series I own/have installed) A lot of people are saying this isn’t a big deal because monitors automatically do 4K/upscale but me personally I think it is a big deal because I don’t have a $900 HDMI 2.1 monitor to play 4K 120 FPS on so being able to finally play at a sharp 1440p at 120 FPS instead of 1080p at 120 FPS is a game changer.

4K is so over hype... 4K only matters if ur gaming on a 60 inch or bigger screen. if you are gaming on 27 inch or 32 inch 1440P & 4K will not be much different..

Hi guys, can someone enlighten me? Will the game be displayed at 1440p native resolution if I select performance? I'm currently gaming on a 1080p monitor and I wanted to prioritize staying on 60fps. I am hesitating if I will upgrade my monitor. I'm worried that the performance mode will upscale the resolution and it is not native. I prefer to game on the native resolution with 60 fps.

I'm so excited for the 1440p resolution. For me it's a big deal because some people don't have enough money to buy an expensive TV or monitor that supports 4k resolution

PS5 is native 1080p and upscales to 1440 or 4K. PS4 Pro also upscales from 1080 to 4k. What some don't understand is the consoles do not contain a $600 4k gpu. They might have a $50 GPU. PC is the only way to game in 4k. Better GPU usually have 128bit color instead of 64bit color. PS5 plays 1080p games at the fastest frame rate verses 4k. Gotham Knights runs 32fps on PS5 and 60-90fps with a $100 gpu. So the PS5 gpu is like a 4gb $50-$100.

All we need is native PS3 backwards compatibility and this console would be GOAT.

For me, it doesn't work if the PS5 is connected to a 1440p monitor through the PSVR (PS4) processor box. Only directly. So, I have to choose - PSVR or 1440p. Very inconvenient.
