A lot of people are confused by this thing. It does NOT give you increased throttle amount (%). It gives you increased DBW (drive by wire) signal speed, hence the increased throttle response. This basically makes an electronically controlled throttle feel like a cable actuated throttle which is virtually instantaneous. It definitely works, but it’s in no way a power adder.

Hey Bruce, I just installed the Sprint Booster V3 on 2017 A6. The installation wasn't fun. It almost seems like they're hip to this is trying to prevent it. You can barely get to the pedal, the cable is super short. Not fun at all, but I got it done.

But the problem with the A4/A5 B9 DL382 still remains - lack of low RPM torque, under normal driving conditions. That's why the RPMs have to kick up to 4K+ before the car starts to pull. Cruising along, and applying just a 20% throttle, the old B8.5 A4 Quattro would kick up only 500 RPM, and the car would start pulling hard, all the way up beyond 4k, before shifting. The B8.5 dynos the 248 lb-ft to the wheels, which is about equal to the B9, even though the B9 advertises ~20 lb-ftmore torque at the crank. Audi engineers were careful, because the old transmission maxed at 500nm of torque, whereas the DL382 in the B9 A4 only maxes at 400nm (295lb-ft) - so the B9 is near is very near it's limit. For that reason the B9s are designed to be more conservative in daily driving. Actually, with the B9 it's a combination of concerns for both transmission longevity and fuel economy.
