If you've ever dreamed of owning a castle, this video will change your mind! You'd need many millions just to live in one, not to mention many more to run it as anything but a private home. It's depressing! The National Trust does a great job of preservation of many ancestral estates; the rest will have to fall by the wayside, unfortunately, as owners pass on and children choose not to get involved. It's just an enormous undertaking.

Molly slowly putting on sunglasses during an indoor meeting….😂.. They lost my sympathy when I learned that they haven’t given raises to their gardeners. The sculpture garden must have been a slap in their underpaid faces.

Why don’t they build a home a good kilometers away? Or move into a beautiful home not far away.

I don’t know why these people hang onto these properties. Can’t they give them to the Nation trust or sell them and get out.

In the first house (castle) Mollies husband is rather pompas and arrogant and Molly and her mother are unrealistic in what they will and will not allow if they want the castle to make enough money to survive. Henry and David seem to be the only ones to realise the enormity of the task at hand. When it comes to putting money into the gardens Molly doesn't want to put her hand in her pocket. She wants all the benefits without input of any kind on her part. (((Shake my head)))

In the second house Edward is working so hard that he deserves to succeed. He's fortunate that his parents are obliging and helpful to his ideas (albeit mum being a little intrusive) which makes a huge difference to the first house (castle) family.

Third house (castle) the Lords son David could get off his laurels and get a job and maybe even contribute if only nominally towards the castle.

What a brave women who faced so many trial with two small children. "Her Children" are beyond words I can write. To spend for one day wedding costing 25,000, blowing off all the hard work done by their Mother...again I do hope her dreams of fixing up the 'cottage' comes true, and that her children have a major attitude adjustment.

Molly and her husband are classic English twits. They cant support the castle with their own funds but can't stand to have the unwashed public in the halls. they confuse themselves with the idle rich rather than a working estate

Prince Andrew, even the title he still has is a joke. More to the point the sexual deviate and a disgrace to 'The Royal Family" who should be in jail but will never be given punishment for his crimes because he was protected and paid for due to his entitlement. The Queen made sure he would never see jail time and he was probably told to keep his head down until all has been 'swept under the carpet'. Andrew is held above the law and even though he needs to keep his head down for awhile as we, the grazers, the peasants, the fools eventually may forget his abhorrent scandals through his life so he can again drag his head up from the mud again.
As one of the entitled beings and the Queens favourite child he has never known an uncomfortable day in his life. Kept safe in housing on the estate with his ex Sarah Ferguson who also brought disrespect to 'the firm' over the years to the tax payers who pay deeply for their life styles. No we won't forget, it's just that some don't have the balls to dispute the issue.
What is the real purpose of this said Monarchy is this day and age? Is it actually relevant? How do the tax payer funding 'the firm' benefit?

All they need to do is place a bunch of gorgeous tiny cottages all over the estate, and rent them by the week. Promote Sudeley as wedding destination, and promise to keep Molly and her husband away from literally everyone. Would be great also if Gordon R or Jamie Oliver were invited to open a proper restaurant central to the cottages.

Reading these comments about the up keep of the estate, makes me realize that without free slave labor it’s very hard to keep everything together. Imagine from the 1500’s hundreds to18-19 hundreds they had free labor. That’s how the majority of the world became rich

For the couple who closed the castle to the public, I know it was the husband's doing. His wife grew up there and had fond memories of the place. He just saw it as a cash cow and didn't mind tearing the family apart in order to bleed every drop of money out of the place. I guarantee he'll sell it later.
