What Does A DevOps Engineer Do?

I’m a DevOps engineer and I would explain it as mainly building automation for:
- CI/CD pipelines so that when developers push their code, it automatically starts building, scanning, testing, packaging, and possibly deploying it
- infrastructure provisioning that often ties into the CI/CD above

However, I know in some companies it can mean different things and I have had other responsibilities outside the two above.

So you are just a developer nothing special adding new vocabulary wouldnt make you anything new devops is nothing

So then whats is ops?

There is nothing called Kubernetes Images. And terraform is used for creating and managing Infrastructure state using code its not used for creating docker images

Calls himself a DevOps Engineer but doesn't mention Jenkins/Teamcity or any CI/CD tool. Skips Linux and automation tools like Ansible/Chef (Which you need to know before Docker/Podman) and doesn't mention middleware tools like RabbitMQ/IBM MQ or DB's...DB2/Cassandra/Mongo DB etc...not to mention other core DevOps tools like Artifactory/BitBucket or GitHub. The list goes on...

He doesn't even explain what DevOps is properly....

i develop backend for comportable with docker and also work on frontend,
also i do ml develops and with aws mostly, i work on dev ops too, mostly automate backend with dockers pipelines
