my opinion why Sam was succesfull in treating ser Jorah is just because he was actually following instructions to the t. He is still a novice at the moment of becoming a maester and does not have any pride of his skills and doesn't think that he knows better than the man, who wrote the instructions. That is the sole reason that he was able to complete the procedure.
ОтветитьSince they had no plastic or rubber back then im curious to what those gloves are made from, leather? Perhaps covered in wax? Would grayscale transfer to or absorb into leather or cloth gloves? Yes yes i know its a show but i think about details like that.
ОтветитьReading and following instructions can be tiresome and hard but it’s worth the end results.
ОтветитьProfessor Slughorn was skinny in the ancient times
ОтветитьI think the Maester isn't truly punishing Sam here actually. He's giving him a chance to restore old documents filled with information and knowledge. It's a double-edged blade.
ОтветитьIn hindsight this entire subplot was shit
ОтветитьI love the way they both say “climate”
ОтветитьHe healed greyscale and i cant even shake genital herpes after 15 years
ОтветитьEveryone can see sam’s worth as a man and as a person, he makes friends easily wherever he goes because of his selflessness and his desire to help others. The only one who can’t see his worth is his own Father.
ОтветитьI wonder how many people have caught the fact that the arch maester immediately knew what had to be done, and what was done in order to remove the grey scale. He says the exact same thing Sam says before he starts to remove the infection. Shows he’s read the books and instructions even if it isn’t his field of study.
ОтветитьCasually touches the dirty end of his sick people touching stick with his bare hands.
I love medieval medicine
This is probably one of the best moments of the show, the moment sir Jorah (the honorable night ) discovers that he had been infected he decides to never make contact with anyone !( honorable indeed).
But when sam shakes his hand he telepathically says: i know you don’t shake people’s hands but that’s something infected people do , and you sir are not one of them .. shake my hand.
Good drama ,
Could really mean American people sure used to have great values, and that surely one day they will bring honor & value to their lives.
( by the way , i know that this is a fictional history show but the value - for sure - used to be non - fictional)
Also if you think I should write a book or not ,, please let me know in the replies, ( I’ll accept negative reviews )
Samwell was such a PURE character....✌🇹🇹
ОтветитьI think this really worked because Tarley followed *all*’ of the instructions, including correct disposal of the pus and cut away greyscale. That’s the highly infectious stuff that could have caused an outbreak.
ОтветитьWasn't he wearing that shirt before his treatment?
If I was infected with poision Ivy and was wearing the same shirt the entire time.
The last thing I would want to do when I recover is wear the same poision Ivy soaked shirt.
What if the shirt had that green puss on it?
Wouldn't he get re infected with Gray Scale?
"I just started feeling better" lmfao
Ответитьseason 7 was such shit, but the sam jorah interaction was just great
ОтветитьSam “I read the book and followed the instructions” is the equivalent of a yugioh player who reads their cards.😂😂
Ответить"The climate?? 😒"
ОтветитьI know his Greyscale was pretty advanced but damn I sure hope it wasn't on certain regions down south...
Ответить"The reward for work well done is more work"
ОтветитьBesides the final handshake, the fact Jorah tried to to cover up Sam's disobedience is heartwarming. He got cured now, so if Sam is getting in trouble wouldn't be his business anymore, yet he tried to protect him out of gratitude for saving his life from greyscale. Not a lot of people in Westeros would've mindend what happened next after leaving.
Jorah's truly a Knight 'til the end.
when you aren't medically trained but have had medical procedures but have seen it to others so you decide to give it a shot
ОтветитьI just love how their excuse for Jorah's infection being gone was "I just started feeling better. Guess I needed some rest, is all."
ОтветитьIs it just me or putting on the shirt that you wore while you were infected with grayscale AFTER you healed yourself isn't a good idea.
ОтветитьThen after he was healed he put back on his dirty Greyscale fermented shirt...😑
ОтветитьThe handshake was the most touching part
ОтветитьThe handshake was the most
Ответитьcured only to die of some bullshit next season
ОтветитьCan’t fault the archmaester for not rewarding Sam. He shouldn’t congratulate him for jumping into a volcano just because he survived.
ОтветитьArch-Maester Ebrose, Stern...Stern but fair!
Ответить“I assumed it was the… rest that did it”
When your homie is covering for you but you didn’t come up with a plan yet
A good man already has his reward.
ОтветитьI quite think that him being ordered to write copies of those old manuscripts was a reward, he was able to comprehend and use long-lost skills.
ОтветитьI'm sure I'm echoing something already mentioned, but I think my favorite detail is that Jorah has been shown, rightfully, to have no damn idea how to follow the medical terminology, but being who he is, he can tell immediately when someone is in trouble on his behalf.
Ответитьlol climate, he is a champion in ther fighting pits of merren
ОтветитьI love season 7.
ОтветитьFunniest part about the Archmaester's "punishment" was that those old scrolls he's making Sam copy are probably medicinal scrolls.
ОтветитьThat maestor is probably thinking to himself, "that young Sam Tarly has promise and serious potential".
ОтветитьDid anyone notice that Arch Maester was played by the same actor that played Horace Slughorn in Harry Potter?😀
ОтветитьHonestly, this was set up in season one and it's a shame it wasn't capitalized on...Sam could be an Alchemist of sorts.
Not able to do complete magic, but has skills and abilities that which make capable of certain things others cannot.
This is among the most touching moments of the series
ОтветитьTranscribing scrolls and books, to “read and learn” without outright teaching. An impressive if not, somewhat risky method.
A reward within a punishment
Season 7 was still good. Plenty of great moments to build on before season 8 ruined it
ОтветитьAaand the Archmaester awarded Samwell with these manuscripts and scrolls by the knowledge written onto them. 😇😇
ОтветитьMaybe the archmaesters failed because of the fokin heavy chains on them 😂😂
ОтветитьThe Arch Maester telling him he should be proud, and having him save the information from the scrolls and books are the best rewards he could have hoped for.
He gets to look at rare and hidden information, and clearly earned the Arch Maesters respect.
Sam doesn't seem to fully grasp that, but that seems obvious to me.
