Vietnam 's problem with China is not just the sea, we are completely surrounded by land air and rivers, China have military bases in Cambodia and very much control Cambodia while trying to debt trap Laos and control all river flow to Vietnam through a series of dams upstream in Laos Cambodia and China. the problem with China is that they should realize a neutral friendly state of Vietnam is their best choice, a Vietnamese military alliance with global naval powers such as Japan or the USA with a naval base in Ha Long bay will completely shut them off from the sea, from Japan to Korea, Taiwan Philipines, Vietnam... ironically , they should stop springing the American noose on Vietnamese neck and tighten it , just like America had been trying to surround them....

A great country should never underestimate the military capability of its neighbors in South East Asia especially the ones it had bullied over the past years. Although this adjoining nations are small in comparison in each military strength as compared to his, this called "Davids" in the region are battle tested in their own battleground to give the giant bully a hard punch in the nose with their combined forces equipped with the sophistication of modern military hardware nowadays. as an American i could care less what happens to Vietnam. it could sink into the ocean or become a center of economic power. i fail to see what concern it has for the USA. we have plenty of issues to deal with here. anyways they boast about always beating big powers so why do they want modern weapons from the imperialist powers? apparently China could Nuke them and they would still win right?

@VisualPolitikEN Please do not assume that even for one second my country, Indonesia will completely abandon their trade with China or even do something as stupid as entering a new "SEATO" cuz we all knew how that one turned out and yes putting the AUKUS problem aside i might as well just say this to prove a point: we would never abandon the chance to expand and develop the economy of our country no matter where it came from because while the dragon of the east might look threatening right now i think we all knew that in the end the North American bald headed eagle would be the one that benefitted the most if a global war was to ever break out in the Southeast Asian Region.
