CS:GO - The New Rank System Explained!

I think it's good and bad.

Good: So, you can play ageist more players.

Bad: You're going to get your ass beaten by Smurfs.

I went from gnm to silver 4...

I derank from gold nova 2 to silver 4 and then to silver 2 and the only way to rank up from silver to gold nova is to play with friends because sometimes you play with new players and its difficult to win . i rank up in 2 weeks in silver 4 (friends)
and i derank in 1 week from gold nova 2 to silver 2 (no friends) :(

Was global, still global. Glad to see highly reduced MGEs in global

But now it is a huge skillgap between the silver player beacause there was many silver players that never been in gold nova. but know gold nova players being placed with these players makes it unfair if the other team have higher skilled players that been in gold nova before the patch.

Well The problem is that the lower ranks have it now far harder to get kills/rank up cause many of the higher skill groups (the nova's?) get deranked to silver and play now with real silvers who are pretty "new" to the game and personally me as an former Gold Nova 2 (now Silver 4 just ranked up,I got 100 wins) have to play against player that cant even hold up to me or I play with an very bad team I cannot carry alone. Also even higher ranks then nova get to be silvers and well I cannot compete against them. So Valve/CS:GO loses a lot of it's low tier community that could potentially get far better later on but just quits the game early on,cause of the now even worse matchmaking

Hmm, the problem is that this has GONE WAY to fucked up, i was LE and i didn't play so i got unranked and i won 1 match-mg2. My friend which still is LEM haven't deranked but when we play i play better than him most of the time, valve PLZ fix

im lem , and i was supreme ...i dont rlly see the change cause i was always playing with globals . So 4me its not that big of a change , but i still find it pretty hard to rank up at supreme/global

I went from mg2 and dropped to silver 2 that's not right I'm getting 40+ every game

I'm so used to 5:4 stretch that normal circles just don't look right to me.

i don't agree at all. I was mg before and now i am silver 4 and i rekt the other team almost in every match. it should be easy to rank up but most of the times, my teammates are playing bad enough that we lose even if i have like 30-40 kills and they have like 6

before update lem now ge, csgo ranks are still bad, still alot of boosted crap on cs...

I came down from nova 1 to silver 1 WTF!!!

won 6 games in a row ranked up
lost 2 games deranked

For those who complain about the new ranking system in CS:GO: Don't play the game then!

I'm late for commenting but i want to say that i'm actually grateful that Valve did modify the ranking system, and i think they should do it once more to be sure that it is the most accurate possible.

I'm not saying that because i want to make people miserable, but for me, it forces you to work even harder... yes i was disgusted first time be i think that for the best.

PS : I deranked from Supreme to DMG to re-rank Supreme few days ago

Went from LEM to MGE and trust me, THERE is not where I belong. The players I find... And the worst part is no matter how much I win I still am not able to rank up again. Last time I deranked I was on a 3 win streak and after 1 game lost I'm MGE. My friends say the same complaints. IMO this made the system even moire broken.

They should increase it. Im not happy to rank down to dmg or something but.... I think global elites should be the best of the best perhaps around 0.1%

why is my rank so static? my friends get ranked up and down all the time after comp match they would just "YAY I just ranked up to GN3!" next match "AWW I deranked" but me? heh, ive been stuck at gold nova 2 since a few months ago no up no down

this system is good for some people but... damn I WAS FUCKIN MASTER GUARDIAN II AND THEY DE_RANK ME TO FUCKIN SILVER I

I got dropped from dmg to gold 2 in that update?? Was that a normal drop? It seemed quite severe and I was far better than anyone I played against in gold and made it back up to dmg in a month and a half

I used to be gold nova 3 and now I'm freaking silver 1 so it's that fair? Idk

my friend is a semi pro(he plays in a lot of lans in my country) and on his mm account he got deranked from supreme to silver 3

I deranked from Nova 2 to Silver 4. I got up to silver elite master until I gave up. I bought a smurf and got placed in nova 3, now I am MG2 on my smurf, which is my new "CSGO Main".

fast forward to today and silver and gn is now a cesspool of de-rankers , hackers, smurfs, and trolls and csgo is falling apart. yaaaay...

i get like 70 -100 points every game and every say i cheat but i still derank? "Balancing the game"

Dude I'm not up with the updates but I started playing CS:GO again and I make about 50 competitive matches won and I was silver 2 but I fall silver 1 and see the situation: I m silver 1 with 50 competitive matches win and my friend with 20 competitive matches win was silver 3. I dont lose so much matches. When I fall I win 3 matches and it just don't give me silver 2 again. Please explain me the logic. I want to say that my friend with 25 wins on the competitive matches lose very much but dont derank. I just found no logic. Nice video and have a nice day!
