Love it. Getting one tomorrow
Ответить"textbook?" I believe the idea is to NOT break the paper face on the sheetrock. 2 of the three screws did...
ОтветитьOnly one of those 3 screws from the senco would have passed inspection, other two broke the paper
ОтветитьTried it. Sucks! Leaves the screw-head too high. Buy it if you don't mind dry-walling with a #2 Philips screwdriver in your tool-belt setting every other screw. Although you might only notice after you started plastering, more fun for you. Yaaaay!
ОтветитьGeez, clean up will ya!
ОтветитьOk - 60 second video extended to minutes
ОтветитьHi Jeff. Thank you for the tip. I just bought it at Amazon. I hope you get your commission. Cheers.
ОтветитьGood video but u take too much time
ОтветитьI'm pretty sure the "clutch" action in your video was the Philips driver bit "camming out" of the screw (Philips is designed to do that). The buzz was probably the driver skipping over the screw. It doesn't rely on the drill clutch if you have your drill in the highest torque setting as your DeWalt in the video. Maybe on the lower torque settings it would use the clutch.
I can only get my drill to "clutch" about half the time at the lower torque settings--the other half the time, the Philips driver bit is skipping out.
Greetings from Costa Rica, very usefull, Thanks.
ОтветитьI'll subscribe when you organize that mess of a garage you force us to look at in these videos.
Ответитьwhy is it not magnetic like many others so it would hold the screw ?
ОтветитьUse a magnetic bit holder.
ОтветитьI thinks were Screwed - Jeff actually thinks the drill clutch is doing the magic here.
ОтветитьThe most of people in Costa Rica they use the mesh tape instead of paper tape for the joints, but i´m sure is better the paper tape according to what i´ve learned.
ОтветитьIs there much difference between using driver with setter bit vs actual screw gun?
Ответитьis it the clutch kicking in or is it the screw setter slipping on the Phillips head once the screw goes deeper than the screw setter can??
ОтветитьI have. My question is why do they come in a pack of 4?
ОтветитьThose 2 drywall screws you used the Senco gun on look over driven as hell lol
ОтветитьOk if your drill is on drill setting clutch wont spin the depth is tet on bit you are lieing on its operation
ОтветитьYour shirt is pretty cool. Thanks for the info.
ОтветитьJust don't tear the paper on the sheetrock ,
ОтветитьIf it spins, it can tear the drywall paper. That means the screw isn't holding. Drywall drills don't spin on the setting part.
ОтветитьAnyone try these on cement board?
ОтветитьMe sitting here stressed out and about to screw in drywall for the first time - was worried about demolishing the drywall paper but after seeing this I will be grabbing this screw setter for sure. Thanks a lot for sharing this!
ОтветитьWith all due respect that brand is absolute garbage. The correct one are the Hitachi brand. The stop should not spend with the bit if it does it will score the paper
ОтветитьThis is great... if you like using shitty Phillips head screws. I try to avoid Phillips like the plague.
Ответитьyou need to work with your 4k camera as the image became quite blurry 2 or 3 times when it switched focus from drill to your finger, sure it must be able to adjust field of depth
ОтветитьHave the bit but didn’t know the proper usage, now I do, thanks
Ответитьin focus closeups would have been nice on both the drill and impact driver screw sets
Ответитьdislike
ОтветитьTry using them with a screwdriver or a drill with mechanical clutch. Use low speed and experiment with the torque setting. Also keep the dimpler bits protected from getting damaged by coming in contact with other tools/metals so that they won't form sharp edges that may damage the paper. Try using something like the dcf601 12v screw driver with these.
ОтветитьJust stumbled over the video\channel and Im shocked about the amount of advertisement and side tracking. Instead of just showing how this works you try to sell a plastic cutting tool? Probably necessary to hit the 10 min. mark so you can make us watch 3 adverts. Thumbs down
ОтветитьCan I use a regular electric drill with the attachment?? Do I really have to invest in a new drill for a small area on my ceiling
ОтветитьSenco driven screws look too deep to me, the paper is torn.
Ответить4xs the resolution not 2xs just letting you know
ОтветитьWhat about drilling into drywall and steel stud ? which bit or drill would be best ?
ОтветитьNooice!
ОтветитьI need the drywall screw setter, I'm in Nigeria, how do I get it?
ОтветитьThe senco gun is adjustable isn’t it?
ОтветитьIt's hard to tell, is it slicing the paper from the rotation of the setting surface?
ОтветитьImpact Driver
ОтветитьI use a drywall attachment from Montana that can be used on a drill and impact driver and does the same thing as the dewalt bits.
ОтветитьClutch setting is the key! The idea is ok, for small jobs. But really most jobs are not that small. Especially when hanging ceilings. The longer you spend the more on your back!
ОтветитьCan it be used with anchors? And I was going to get a screw gun but I am watching your video perhaps do you think it would be better to avoid buying the screw gun they seem expensive would the poor man's please tell me if you agree should I just use this bit in my hammer drill instead it will save me money over buying screw gun? Thoughts please thank you
