I really enjoyed this interpretation of the Kharkov MG-42 gunner from Alpine. I had to look up the colors used for the Filzstiefel (winter snow boots) I have seen others paint them various shades of black. You actually nailed it. I just hit subscribe
ОтветитьI've never done figures but just watching has me wanting to try.
ОтветитьWhen glazing, how many coats do you do for each item? Is it enough to convey the colour but still show the black and satin white base coat below for the contrast?
ОтветитьAwesome skills & techniques on painting. Your video has now given my son and I motivation to acquire some and practice on.
Any ideas where one can get the appropriate sized soldier action figures to paint for 1/16 scale tanks. What would be a proper sized soldiers dimensions in inches, if possible? Thanks.
Good Morning, I love your videos and have learned a lot. I recently started doing Figures and really like it. I did my First clear coat, then wash. It made my figures very dark. I don't know what I did wrong. also my thinner is not like water. I'm thinking I should have to thin the wash also and get a different thinner but I don't see in any of your details what washes and thinner your using.
ОтветитьYou don't paint the individual pieces first? Like the machine gun and gun pouch before gluing them?
Ответить👍🏻👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿
ОтветитьWhy a gloss varnish? Why not just use a matte?
Ответитьa never disappointing excellent tutorial on straight forward painting, besides my love for WW11 figures I also love French and British tin Napoleonic figures about 54mm scale, I think I like the bright colors LOL, would the same rules and procedures apply ?
Ответитьthis is one of the best models I have ever seen painted. Do you sell any figurines?
ОтветитьThank you🎉
ОтветитьNot many people put primer on with a brush, but do you think you could do a tutorial on using primer with a brush instead of an airbrush thanks! Awesome video.
ОтветитьCan you use Tamiya plastic cement???
ОтветитьHi Hank. Great videos. Rediscovering scale modelling after many years. Just watching this video as about to paint the figures from the Tamiya SAS jeep kit and hoping to use your techniques.
When painting the different colour layers on the faces, do you allow each layer to dry before the next or does the blending of the layers require the layers to be wet. Thanks in advance.
I like the video one correction he is holding a MG 34
ОтветитьMany thanks for the advice awesome stuff.
ОтветитьWhat size paint brushes do you use
ОтветитьHi quick question, ive attemped to paint my soldiers like you with the wooden block & screw, but carnt seem to get the figure to stick to the screw, is there a special glue you use, thanks 😊
ОтветитьTop !!!! 👍👍👍
ОтветитьI wish I had your patients but you do an damn good job
ОтветитьYour videos for painting figures are fantastic. You take something that seems so complicated and make it simple and easy to understand. I am inspired to try figures again. Cheers

ОтветитьВ жизни таким персонажам только пуля в голову!
ОтветитьGreat video I learn every time I watch. Could you put a list of colors that you use for figures?
Thanks for the time and knowledge.
Truly inspiring stuff mate, thank you for your videos, they are an inspiration to me as I start my modeling journey.
ОтветитьMany tanks, I didn´t know about hairspray it´s a great advise, it looks beatiful.
Ответить💪👍👍👍👍👍 🆒
ОтветитьIncredible!
ОтветитьPlease, the number of the german green grey?thanks
ОтветитьFantástico trabajo!!!
ОтветитьAwesome! Love the finished work. I’m new to painting so am a little confused with the zenithal priming in this process. The subsequent color paint is so opaque and seem to have covered up the light and shadow of the zenithal layer. I assume it was intentional and glazing method was only on the face? I thought glazing would look more transparent if it was also done on the uniform? The later wash layer really made a big difference and brought out the details. Thank you for the awesome demonstration video!
ОтветитьSorta unrelated but anybody know if tamiya made a spitfire kit with the magnet stuff they did for the bf109?
ОтветитьExcellent work 👍👍👍...
I hope that you eventually do a 1980's era camouflaged us figure??? I was in during the 80's and I really don't see hardly any good Infantry figures that I would want to build to be honest...
How long do you recommend to wait between color layers on face and hands using the Vallejo?
ОтветитьReally nice work Hank, and very inspiring. Well presented, easy to follow and well filmed.
I've ordered a MG carrier only yesterday.
Please keep up the great work
Great job here, those Alpine figures are among the best available i believe, and ive started to build up a nice collection of them !!!
ОтветитьAmazing
ОтветитьGreat job and wonderful tutorial. I think I need to invest in some fine brushes like yours in the video
