I think the reason Rubik's do their Rubik's cubes like this is to have a puzzle to solve, not to cut corners. That's why I guess the 3x3 of there brand is so firm.

I would say 45s on speedcubes and 2m on rubiks brand

That old 4x4 turns awfully, even for beginners who do wrist turns. I'm glad they made a decent one that actually turns properly, even if it's a low bar.

i bought the 2x2 rubik's mini today and i made it rotate better, you could just adjust the settings of the rubiks cube mini rotation, there is a screw on the orange side like u did saw, if you screw the screw in to max, the cube will rotate very hardly, if u screw the screw out a little, it will be faster and better corner cutting than just calling it "bad", and when u unscrewed it, u unscrewed it a lot, that why it fell apart

I have a Rubik's 2x2 and yes it sucks but was my first 2x2. The internals are hell to speedcubers, and the "edge" pieces fall out if you go too hard. There is only 1 type of adjustment and it's just a screw with a spring. No other sides have those. And even worse the screw hole wears out and causes loosening automatically and ruins the cube. Reassembling this is the longest thing that do. So, so many pieces. For something small, cheap, and ass.

I really like the Rubik's brand. I know they're slow and not simple, but they're very nice for people who have no idea what they're doing. It helped me go through the algorithms very slowly and then once I got faster I upgraded to a much better cube... But with the 3x3s when I started really getting into it, I got a speedcube right away and I kept overturning the crap out of it and losing my place and it was very frustrating. So I enjoy starting with a much slower cube that requires time.
