Try turning the "On Ball Defense" & "Lateral Quickness" sliders down to 0 for both CPU & USER. This will make the players go off of their ratings instead of a universal slider making them all play the same. Think about what these sliders actually do... "On Ball Defense" just puts an invisible shield around defensive players so you can't go around them. And the higher you have it turned up, the worst that effect is. You don't need that slider... let their individual ratings dictate the gameplay. Same thing with "Lateral Quickness" slider... it's bullshit, we don't need that slider turned on. It just makes every player play defense the same. If you have that slider up then every player with move hella fast on defense... idk why they would even put that in the sliders this year... it's a universal slider that messes up the gameplay. Once again. every player does not play defense the same so turning this to "0" will make them go off of their rating and thus make gameplay more realistic.

Cpu defense is cancer

I've found out that going by the Defense is an Obvious thing, You Had multiple opportunities to go by D but you were more into doing dribble moves than watching the Defenders Footwork it use to happen to me Until I Realized to Ignore your own Dribble move & concentrate on the Footwork of the Defense

I have this problem too; no matter who guards you they clamp you up and you can't get by them. I was playing with Kyrie arguably the best dribbler in the NBA right now and I had Jarret Jack locking me down like some kind of defensive god.

what gets me is you're running full speed and they are shuffling side to side and able to keep up bumping the he'll out of you and no foul calls.

On me. This shit be pissing me off when I play somebody online an all they do is let CPU play D. You can't go by them no matter how many counters you hit them with or how fast your player can execute crossovers. It's bullshit

2k17 is garbage man. The ball goes through people all the time. Sad that 2k11 has better ball physics

the defense in this game takes away even the way its shading you, in reality if a defender is letting you go a certain way, you will usually be able to go that way, not ALWAYS getting to the rim, but none the less getting to the spot or going in a direction, in this game they still take what i looks like they're giving you , away, they shade you to go a certain way, then take it away, almost impossible to do in officiated basketball as it would most the time be a blocking foul

you have to take down the CPU defensive sliders. especially in the post, I reduce the CPU weight so I can get in the paint.

I been stop playing the PS4. what kills me is the CPU on the offense make all of his layups. you can block most of their shots but it's only to a certain limit. sad...
