At the first Interview I cracked as a fresher at a product based tech.,

I didn't know anything at all about the Mainframe tech. they were hiring for,
I told the interviewer honestly and I was confident about the things I mentioned in my Resume.
(I also worked really hard on my resume and always asked feedbacks from every interview I gave, no matter how bad it was). I told the interviewer that I may not know the technology but I am confident that I will learn it really fast.
She asked "What if we dont provide you training,?" I said I will learn on my own. At last she smiled and asked if she could keep my resume. I felt good vibes, I felt I was selected.
When I came back, I told my friend who worked in that company that "I am coming to your company.!"

This was as a fresher of course, but in any interview, you have to show your passion and your attitude must be of a learner who "can do it, if given a chance". You should show your interest in the position and always research about their business well.
Admit your faults, don't try to outsmart the interviewer, because they know it better than you, try to be yourself and believe that you deserve that job when you prepare for the interview.


Lastly, try talking to your parents/someone you love/your true wellwisher , before the interview, if you are nervous.
I was nervous before the interview, My father called me just before that (he didn't even know about that), and I felt energy and confidence after he wished me luck!

i would add my 2 cents

if you dont know answer to some questions, interviewer is expecting to see how you reach to the right answer. he is not expecting you know everything. he is interested in knowing your problem solving skills. ..so for tough questions, clear your mind, know the basics and approach the problem in positive attitude. that will help.
