The Vikings could get a boat load of draft picks with a Jefferson trade. I'd go either way with JJ. In the end, the Vikings will most likely sign him. You know he's going for the big bucks. My guess is he's going for quarterback money.

They have him 2 more years after this minimum if they want him. As far as getting the deal done this is on Jefferson. He didnt want to sign. He wanted to see the direction they were going and I cant blame him and if he doesnt like the direction then its his prerogative. Getting paid will not be an issue. I sure hope hes stays but a season like some are predicting I would assume he wont.

Jefferson not only wants to get paid, he wants to win! The problem is the Vikings don’t have a quarterback. Darnold has a talented arm, fairly athletic but hasn’t proven he can protect the ball. JJ has only proven that his up side is a game manager—NOT what is going to carry the Vikings to a Super Bowl.

I have no problem sitting JJ, let him learn behind Sam. I think Sam will do good in this offensive scheme. He played for 2 bad teams, the Jets 13 - 25 in 2018 through 2020 and Carolina 10 - 23 in 2021 & 2022. Started 1 game for the 49ers in week 17. He went 16-26 189 yards and 1 TD no ints. A 1 point loss to the Rams. I see the Vikings going 10-7 if they're lucky. Green Bay wins the division and we get a wild card berth. Our defense has major problems stopping the run and did not address it in the off-season.
