So, make your anxiety exponentially worse and more terrifying, and that will make all the thoughts and fears go away? 🤔

I find it hard to notice if I am having a compulsion sometimes. For example I remember a show and start to question which character did this or that and feel the urge to search or rewatch the whole series or else and I feel this heavy feeling on my chest when I am about to search it or when I don't want to search it. Is it OCD? What do I do?

I think the core of fear is that I'll be afraid to call for help. Because I want to keep my phone at a 100% all the time. Because I had cancer and I got paralyzed when Iover dosed on the medications they were giving me. And I couldn't call for help because even after I got a little bit better and I could kinda speak. No one could understand me too too. Well, and I needed my phone and it was dead and it sucked.

I just can't help myself from washing my hands every now and them. Everytime I touch something which has been touched by other people or everytime I see something a bit dirty when its not but my brain makes up this thing. I keep on cleaning my surroundings too much for me to sit there. Now this has increased so much that I'm slowly drifting away from everyone. I don't even sit with my family members just so that they don't touch me or something. This is really killing me. People think I'm going crazy. I try to avoid this but I just can't. Its like my body moves on its own. I've lost control over myself. I don't even know when I started doing these things but I now know that I'm suffering from OCD. But is my condition a little to much? Has the OCD increased too much since I didn't acknowledge it at first?

1. Would I rather live my life with risk, or have to live my life like this
2. Am I approaching or avoiding
3. If you can make room for this, it'll make it less scary
4. Make it worse to make it better (with assistance)
5. Stay with the thought, play with the thought.

OCD need not necessary come with a set of rules, it is overwhelming anxiety and uncertainty that causes a spiral a thoughts. Decluttering is a way to go like compartmentalization but again that might not help while experiencing a panic.

I have a question , allowing thought to pass is different while in our case thought or feeling gets stuck . If we allow negative thoughts with blind acceptance the content of the thoughts feels real and sudden feelings fuels in more to the fear . This is with my experience. Rather I would like to handle them with mix approach of Cognitive + Refocus + Allow with disregarding .
But ya slowly we need to reduce the efforts and start disregard without much effort and heal from within.
But I do not know how to do.

I really hope I manage to do this, I have lived with ocd for so long and am now keeping my self up all night carrying out distressing compulsions, while im carrying them out in the moment I feel incredibly tense, stressed, I start to sweat, I become serverely distressed and even start slapping my self in the head because of how fustrated I become and it actually makes me suicidle. After carrying out these distressing repetitive tasks I will feel incredibly annoyed, dissapointed and ashamed of my self. There are no posotive emotions when it comes to ocd, I feel completely and utterly trapped in it, but im going to try my best to listen to this video and overcome it even if it isnt simple, which i know it wont be, but i cant keep living like this

I improved by just being yourself. The more you doubt, overthink, etc, the worse your ocd and intrusive thoughts will become because you now associate the thought or pattern with fear. If you be yourself, and think about what just comes to your head at the moment without fear or worry, the once negative thoughts if they do come will more than likely just pass and with time you will get better as your fear subsides. Why ocd and anxiety are interlinked, its fear about something. If an intrusive thought happens, you will eventually just see it as a dumb thought and go on being yourself. It takes work and time for the brain to learn, the brain is plastic and changes

I did it. I just did the thing that I couldn't do for so long the thing that ruined my life for so long. I made this journey by myself, but I just wanted to share it somewhere. I do have those negativethoughts and feel the bad sensation that was associated with it and I am not yet where I need to be. But for the first time in my life, I truly feel like I am in actual reach of being able to achieve everything I have ever wanted and be "normal". It seems like I gained the skill to solve my problems.

I have suffered with OCD for a long time I know what it's like to have unwanted intrusive thoughts and things repeating over and over in your mind constantly checking things not knowing who you are and so on my advice is to talk with a therapist and be totally honest also CBT and exposure therapy can be helpful but also create some new structures in your day to take you away from your obsessions and compulsions and always try to question your intrusive thoughts weigh up all the bad things then consider all the good things that you do to try and create a strong positive mental place in your mind where you can start to cope, some medication can help but really you have to be focused and have a clear understanding of where you want to go in your life set a target develop strong positive coping strategies. Unfortunately you may never cure yourself completely but you can overcome the worst parts of OCD I also try to focus my compulsions and obsessions on doing good things that could be helping out other people a family member etc kind of like using OCD for good even though it's hard and still feels like an illness hanging over you. Stay strong show yourself love and never give up the fight until your at a place where your comfortable enough to live your life with some happiness. I don't know if this will help anybody but regardless im sending love and hugs to all you people who suffer with OCD take care
