spending a little on advertising to get things going isn’t a bad idea. The reason for lack of growth isn’t always because your music sucks or you don’t have a brand built up, but can also be because nobody knows you exist. So my point is that ads aren’t bad when just starting out, but they should be used in moderation.

How long does it take to get paid from the day someone streamed my song using ads?

I agree and disagree. Working in the music industry and working musician in LA for over 20 years, then realizing how stupid musicians and artists are when I comes to the business side of things. Then I realized I was an idiot musician too. If you just want to make music then keep doing what you're doing, but if wanna make money then you have to know how to SELL. I had to learn from real successful investors (non musicians) to understand this. To build a following you have to sell to people how good your music is. You can do it organically and just do posts all over social media but that's gonna get you so far because the algorhythm Gods are in control. What I do agree is you have to build your music catalog, but in order to create a following you have to tell people. And if you can reach more and target people with ads and you have the budget to do it (start slowly first) Then do it. It's trail and error, you have to understand risk and reward.

Also you mentioned having “something” for people to interact with if Ads are something “an artist” chooses. That being said, what would you consider to be adequate as it regards to a catalogue as a music creator before starting to do ads? Or at what point?

That is SO true! I made that mistake myself, enrolling in courses that would teach me how to run ads and build funnels, but I just wasn’t ready, didn’t take enough time to figure out my audience and ended up quitting and thinking I just didn’t have what it takes. I’m getting back into it now, and just using the advice from your videos I’m already seeing encouraging results. And you’re sharing that for free. Thank you so much, you got me back on track 🙏
