This girl has major Yorkshire vibes in her manc accent
ОтветитьThere are different accents in Manchester, I'm from North Manchester and have lived for nearly all my life, in Newton Heath, Blackley, Higher Blackley, Moston and now nearby Whitefield, just over the border in Bury. The inner city Manchester accent is different to others, also north and south of the city have different accents. Some areas south of the city, in places like Chorlton and Didsbury, consider themselves a bit posher than other areas, with higher property prices to back up that assertion.
ОтветитьThere are parts where she does sound manc a little bit in others parts she sounds like she's from Stockport which isn't Manchester
ОтветитьThis video focus on lingo, not accents.
ОтветитьWTF is this Channel. They teach it like it's french or something. I'm an Aussie 🦘. Didn't need translation on either side for any word. How dum or upper class can you be 😅😂
ОтветитьFun fact: skrika is yell/cry out in Swedish. Much like scriking.
ОтветитьI'm born and bred mancunian and I can tell you majority of those dialects are correct if you're a chav!!!
ОтветитьCora's well fit
ОтветитьIn waiting and meeting, shouldn’t the t be more silent than how it was pronounced?
ОтветитьMost of these generic sentences for comparison don’t really convey the meaning of the words better than simply saying them stand-alone.
Ответитьso the t sound just disappears?
ОтветитьShe pronounces "mither" like "miver"
ОтветитьLove that dialect!
Ответить20 years of Corrie, I'm a pro on this accent.
ОтветитьAs somebody from Manchester I though the word "Snide" was used across Britain 🤣
ОтветитьI'm Polish. I lived and worked near Bolton-Farworth for 5 years long time ego. I am grateful to fate for the people I met, for friendship, for the wonderful Mancunian language, which I still use to teach my children :) A wonderful melody for the ears! And thanks to Cora I can go back to those times once again. Amazing girl! Thanks all 🏴
ОтветитьI live in America 🇺🇸 and some of the slang words you mentioned I sometimes hear 👂
Ответить😍😍😍
ОтветитьA lot of this isn't specific to Manc accents and a lot of that dialect wasn't either. Most of that applies to a lot of northern accents, especially those nearby.

ОтветитьSome of these sound american
ОтветитьSounds like a north Manchester accent. Could you use a person from the South of Manchester please. Like Chorlton. This is where I was brought up, there a big differences in the sound of speech.
ОтветитьWhose here from Mark Goldbridge livestream
ОтветитьDefinitely my favorite British accent. I imagine the British look down on such an accent much in the same way a Southern accent is in the US.
ОтветитьThis is not a Mancunian accent its found more in the greater Manchester areas like Bolton and Bury …. And being from greater Manchester does not mean you are Mancunian … for example somebody from Bolton, Bury or wigan would not be considered Mancunian and these areas have broader accents than Mancunians which share similarities but are not the same!!
ОтветитьHow can Northern Ireland be on that map when that accent also exists in the north of the Republic of Ireland? By that logic citizens of the Republic of Ireland have British accents too. The accents in the north of Ireland should be described as northern Irish, not British.
Also in the southern areas of Northern Ireland they have stronger southern Irish accents than people in the north of the Republic.
But Cora doesn't have an accent and you are talking posh
ОтветитьCora is kinda fine
ОтветитьBest people in the world.
ОтветитьPoopeh
Ответитьshe´s so cute
ОтветитьJesus, Cora is ravishing
ОтветитьI love Cora and her accent, she's adorable!
ОтветитьScrikin' must be from Scandinavia...Vikings?
SKRIKA means scream...
"sound as a pound"
ОтветитьI'm a Scottish guy watching an English lass teaching me English with an English lass.......
My brain hurts 🤯😂😂❤️
Jamie Tartt du du du du du Jamie Tartt du du du du du
Ответить" Cora is from Manchester " 🤣🤣
Ответить💜💜💜 I'm from the U.S. this is so interesting. I do say bath & past the same way.
Ответитьdead ass.....
ОтветитьI find it simler to cockney accent
ОтветитьWhere is the link to Cora's website? I don't see in the description box.
ОтветитьI hear the Gallaghers lol
ОтветитьWhen she says "Sorry to mither you" it almost sounds like "Sorry to bother you" with a bit of a different pronunciation.
ОтветитьInterestingly "Owt" reminds me of "algo" in Spanish, which means "something" or "anything"
ОтветитьCora Looks like the main character in a football movie's girlfriend
ОтветитьI’m English Texan (We came here 200 year ago) I noticed we sound like a mix of these two accents with a Texas twang. Everyone ask me a lot where I grew up lol
Ответитьok ofical best accent of all time and ty Jamie Tartt
ОтветитьScrikin for crying must surely have the same origin as the Scandinavian words for shouting (skriking), which can also mean to cry
Ответить
