I enjoy the video but I still don’t understand why didn’t this get repaired by Sony in the first place. I don’t understand that part. Is there a data backup issue or do they take 45 weeks to send your device back? Why wasn’t this repaired by Sony under warranty?

Hey love your videos man !!! You think you can show how to change the Ethernet port on the ps5 disc version! Lots of PS5 I don’t know why have loose Ethernet ports usb and power ports… they are all loose from factory. I havbt had and issue with HDMI . But I have the first release ps5 have you had any customer with this issue ?? Plz Lmk hope to hear back and possible video !

jsut how do all these electronics get so fucked up ? what are people doing to these things. i mean i've had xbox 360's die on me , and video cards die on me, but they don't look some one dropped them in a vat of acid and then tried to blow them up.

My ps5 is having the no signs issue as well.. I was hoping I’d be able to fix it with the safe mode fix. But I’m thinking it’s probably the hdmi unfortunately.. I’d jack it up if I tried this though lol guess Its trash now sadly.

What happens if you get a PS5 in with a missing hdmi port trace but the trace is in-between visible trace lines? Basically you can't see any trace going to it

ive got a ps5 now im trying to replace the hdmi port, dont have hot air so i clipped the shell grounding off from the center, and got everything out cleanly except the side tabs still left in the ground plane. My little iron doesn't seem to wana do it and im getting alittle nervous with how much ive messed with it with no joy, thinking maybe chipquik or i gotta suck it up and buy an air station for ONE thing lol the data pins are mint too

Those HDMI pins look like when a person goes to the dentist after 40 years and tried to fix their teeth themselves, everything is wobbly and or broken.

I was using this technique of HDMI port soldering when I was starting to solder them on PS5 ;). But, I had returns because the solder from the top - you can look at the end of this video is not going out from the mainboard in the HDMI port ground pads. That was causing a weakness of those solder joints in the ground pads. Since I've started to use a drop technique where I leave the solder in this mainboard and heat it up, I have no returns with HDMI port corrections.

Mine i just bought has 1 missing trace and the capacitor is missing, this video showed me how to do the traces but not the capacitor

Anyone know what the small black component is on the OTHER side of the board under the HDMI port between the legs? It fell off. I couldn't see any continuity with either polarity on it. I've reattached it and replaced the broken HDMI connector but still getting no display. Just a blue light on power on which then goes white. Thinking I may need to replace the little black component if I can figure out what it is?

Do ANYONE know why is my ps5 flickering after hdmi replacement? I did checked all the Pins using tester and it was all connected well, not sure why it Flickering with 1080P

He’d be better off just buying a new motherboard
