your cute.
ОтветитьThanks alot bro, been stressing for hours
Ответитьthanks johnny it was helpful
ОтветитьWhy nothing happens? I'm not a PRO, learned everything on the way. That NOTHING HAPPENS thing is kind of probe or protection. When you power on PSU,it only sends a minimum power to MBO, then MBO checks everything and responds in a way:"EVERYTHING OK, WE'RE GOOD TO GO, UNLEASH ALL THE FORCE(if everything is fine)",and then PSU release power CPU needs.
Ответитьmy pc shuts down 3 times once powered up and i hace to open windows with f12 or f2 what can I do to solve this?
ОтветитьThanks very clear and consise its been a few years since I have built any clones and I all but for
forgot this step.
Blah blah blah blah...😂😂😂
ОтветитьThis actually was the solution thank you so much. And now after the reset my computer performance is very slow and freezes.
ОтветитьGood morning, sorry to bother you, but I have seen that you are an electronics specialist and I was wondering if you could give me some solution. I have a Sindoh 3D 3DWOX 3D printer and when I inserted a USB flash drive to update the firmware, there was a power outage. Now only the Sindoh presentation screen is displayed and the image is frozen there. I have disconnected the printer from the power and even removed the internal battery from the motherboard but it remains the same. There is no way it does anything. It has been left frozen. I'm afraid the firmware has become corrupt. I have observed that the motherboard has some jumpers, I don't know if any of them have any use. Can you help me please? Any suggestions to force flashing the firmware? How can I find out which chip on the printer's motherboard is the EEPROM? Thank you very much in advance.
ОтветитьThanks! Just the info I needed...
ОтветитьClearing cmos is not clearing bios its clearing cmos like it says and so you know it’s 2 separate chips bios and cmos
ОтветитьI5⏰4460 🔥THANK YOU SET OUR
ОтветитьStart of showing how to reset instead of all the Useless info.
ОтветитьI found a PC in the dumpster.
The CMOS was shit.
You just saved me from buying a new bios chip. I bought a laptop off eBay and the bios was locked with a password after the seller said there wasn’t a password on it.
ОтветитьThankyou❤ it worked
Ответить2023 UD3P I thought there was a physical rest switch somewhere on mine
ОтветитьHi!! This worked for me on an ASUS motherboard (2015), I Unplugged the power cord, tthe jumper was already there , it has 3 pins, I moved it to the right (one position to the right) removed the CMOS battery, then plugged the power cord again , I did hold the power button for 30 seconds, the PC did nothing as you said it would happen , then moved the jumper back to where it was , placed the battery back. I repeated this process twice and it worked( it didn't work at first ), thank you for the video !! 🔥🏆👍
ОтветитьHey so I just put in a new motherboard and my BOOT Light stays on, I’ve taken out the cmos battery for a while to try and drain the power to reset and it’s still on. The motherboard is new so any suggestions?
ОтветитьI'm glad I watched this...thank you, very informative.👏👍
Ответитьi found mine and it's 3 pin..it says cmos..but there is also white 3 pin thing near to it
ОтветитьHey Johnny :)
Thank you for the explanation on the topic, I found answers to almost all of my questions on the topic.
If you are familiar with it, there is a thing I wanted to ask:
I've bought new PC and had some TPM problems, but when guy that I bought PC from was trying to find the problem, he tweaked some settings on my motherboard...
Now my fans are working odd and I think he overclocked CPU to stress the components and find what's wrong. But being the TPM module fault I want to reset my motherboard to default settings. I don't want overclocked components. Everything is powerful enough on its own.
I have tried some settings in a bios but I don't have enough knowledge to do that properly. And my motherboard worked just fine with factory settings. So I want to try this hard reset.
I have understood that if I did this hard reset all the settings including CPU settings and everything will be returned to factory settings? Also bios version will be factory Yes? Because he installed beta version of BIOS.
And my motherboard will be like I unboxed it right now from the factory? I would have to install all the drivers and everything?
I really need help with this... 😅
Power poblem cause of the power is not arrive in the power bottom
ОтветитьExactly what I needed.. why would you do it and how.
Thank you!
If i don't have the device to reset my CMOS um so wat to do bout that
ОтветитьDo mobo manufacturers actually test each one with a cpu, ram, etc before packaging them for sale?
ОтветитьMy Thinkpad has been running with a dead CMOS battery for years, just reset the time and date before booting it up and it's good to go, it even makes this video obsolete, how about the good old tech of the past?
Ответитьtime has gone by but your skill is preserved and helpful thanks jp
ОтветитьThank you so much!! Your'e a lifesaver!
ОтветитьHi john, an technician changed my processor and video card therm paste. After that computer doesnt turn on. 4 orange blinking lights, no video. Any clue? Ps: dell xps 8930
ОтветитьHello. I recently bought a used Lenovo P300 workstation PC from a shop. I tried to get into its bios but it was asking for a password. I did not know default passwords so I tried 1234 and 0000 but it did not work. Then, I tried to remove CMOS jumper and the battery but still the password did not get removed. Is there any other way that I can try?
Ответить10 years later, as I am typing the comment. The tutorial was still helpful and straight to the point. I was able to fix my motherboard; and get my PC back up and running!
ОтветитьNo Way ;-)))
ОтветитьThanks, I think I can be more confident in resetting the cmos now at least theoretically. I have an example board with me and I found the pins, so if the time comes hopefully I can do it in a test setting...
ОтветитьI did that on an old NEC Desktop before i came to your channel. I found out that there are two three pins and one 2 pins. One three pins is for power off and the other is for cmos reset.
Ответитьhi just wanna ask . are going to do this while computer is open or it should be off??
Ответитьam i the only one watching in 2022
ОтветитьMy comp took a hit. After replacing the power supply it hung in start up no beeps. It took pulling the battery on the motherboard and using the pins to clear cmos. My next step was to replace the motherboard thinking cmos was toasted.
Ответитьcame here to learn got ASMR
ОтветитьHow do I get the jumper
Ответитьdon't even remove the cmos jumper, thats what i have tried to do and it completely killed my motherboard, just remove the battery
ОтветитьI have an Asus Windows 8 notebook which I haven’t used for a long time and when I started it up a couple of days ago I could hear the fan running and the power light was on but the screen was black. Referring to your video you mentioned that perhaps the battery had run out of power and I’m wondering if I just replace the CMOS battery that that might fix the problem? Any thoughts on this?
ОтветитьPlease I tried updating my bios for Dell precision m3800 but during restarting my laptop screen goes dark but my PC is still running
I have force a shutdown
And tried to on my PC but the screen remains the same
Please what kind I do?
What if you're still unable to boot up your computer after removing cmos batteries and stuff is there any other way to reset?
ОтветитьMy problem 🥺solved with in no time..🤔👏👏👏
Thanq very much...💐👍
dude thank you so much 😍😍 my motherboard man it's alive !!! it's alive!!!
ОтветитьBro you saved my life
ОтветитьThank you, everywhere else says about pressing F12.Delete, F7, shove a carrot up your arse and dance on coffee table, you are first I’ve watched that acknowledges sometimes you can’t reach boot screen to press anything!!! Again, thank you.
Ответитьtoo much talk .....
ОтветитьThanks, 1st one worked with mine, good thing u mentioned the 3rd pin that u didn't have but I did,
Thank you
