Can you do a video on how to make sure your husband’s mental health is taken care of while he takes on the load of being the sole financial provider? I can only find resources online about supporting the wife/moms mental health.

AT 15: 00, MY EYES TEARED. THAT WAS SO TOUCHING. YEAH RIGHT. WHAT IS THE WORST THING THAT COULD HAPPEN? THANK YOU MRS. MIDWEST. I AM NOT INDEPENDENT BUT I AM STILL VALUABLE. I BELIEVE THAT WE AS WOMEN, WE NEED TO RESHAPE OUR IDENTITY. HOMEMAKER MEANS THE ABILITY TO MAKE THINGS AT HOME. AND MAKING REQUIRES KNOWLEDGE. I DO NOT NEED A CAREER IN TEACHING OR ENGINEERING TO FEEL VALUABLE. BEING A HOMEMAKER REQUIRES SO MANY QUALITIES. WE FORGOT THAT WE DO NOT NEED VALIDATION. STAY FEMININELY STRONG. HOMEMAKER AND PROUD AND HAPPY. HAVE A GREAT DAY AND A GREAT LIFE MAKING AND FLOURISHING.

I am sending this to my sis in law. She's been super depressed lately, and I think your points will really help! All she's ever wanted was to be a home maker, and society's expectations have gotten her down.

I’m not Christian, I’m a Wiccan, but i want to be a loving healing home maker that creates a peaceful loving atmosphere, and to take my vows seriously, but it seems like I would have to be in the broom closet in order to have a man with the same family goals as me.
So many witchy men are in this shitty no one gets in MY way…
I’m a white witch, my goal is to heal myself and my home my family and others through kindness and service and health.
And I feel like I’m the only one sometimes

My purpose is to learn skills that allow me to be more independent and buy less! I have a navy sweater that’s not very feminine so I want to bleach it then dye it pink and add lace trim, instead of giving it away and purchasing from Amazon. Or to be able to knit a sweater for the kids presents or paint them toys, if money is tight that year.
Or how to fix a button, sew a simple casual dress to wear at home without being dressed up and not sloppy.
To cook a familiar meal that gives my family positive associations with home and their mom, and when they’re adults when they eat it they will feel their home roots.
To plan the socia engagements for the weekends when hubby is off work and to marry a man who wants a happy family as much as I do, who wants to grow together and grow old together.
That all sounds deeply more satisfying to me than some corporate career- but

It’s scarier. You could marry a bad man, lose independence, so much could go wrong.
I just want to have a calm, love filled lifestyle, and have skills that detract from huge corporations that unnecessarily soak up American’s bank accounts.

And when you call it your kingdom I totally Laughed

And I cry when I see new parents with newborns. Like deep soul crushing longing.

I love this message…. Men and women don’t have a great dynamic anymore. Men expect women to have jobs now and don’t really provide. But I think we can change that!

I know this is an old video but you bring so much value in my life since I discovered you maybe a week ago. Scowering your content, I can't get enough. At 7 months pregnant I'm having a hard time feeling like a beautiful woman of any value but at least I can take care of my home and not be as useless as I feel most days. You feel like a friend on my journey to look up to, thank you so much for your videos ♡

Wow, girl, you literally almost made me cry. It’s been a harder transition that I thought going from a crazy stressful job in Physical Therapy at an outpatient and hospital. I am now a part time massage therapist/homemaker. I was so used to going so hard and feeling like my worth was in showing how hard of a worker I was. Anyway, thank you so much for your encouragement. I truly want to please the Lord and be what He wants me to be.

I forgot who said this but it goes like this: A woman can raise a nation just by the way she raises one child in the home. Yes, homemaking is the most powerful job in the world because we produce the people who work in the workforce. Think about it. 😃

I, like so many others, have done the full time job outside the home while trying to be a full time homemaker as well. It was SO STRESSFUL! I never had time to do anything completely, so everything was sort of half-assed because that was all I had time for. I hated going places on the weekends because it was the only time I had to try and catch up on all I didn't have time to do during the week as well as prepping meals for the following week. I was even starting to feel quite bitter and resentful toward my husband because he was able to relax after work, whereas I felt like my work NEVER ended. Now I feel that I only have one full time job instead of two. I have time to do what needs to be done, time to expand my learning of new skills related to the home, time to make the bread, time to clean the house and keep the laundry cleaned and put away. My stress level is so much lower, and I'm no longer bitter or angry. Anything pertaining to the running of the house is my job. My husband has his work that brings in money and together we make the most frugal use of it. I'm still working on my confidence with telling people I'm a full time homemaker, because I know the stereotype they are thinking of - inaccurate as it is. This is a job I love though. It has been my heart cry for years and what I prayed to God I would be allowed to do. I am a keeper of my home - I've been given this gift and the skills to do it well. I am grateful.

Thank you sooo much for this video!! I got married a year ago and I was really struggling with staying at home after being an “independed woman”. I’m now just starting to embracing it and found so much value in your tips! ❤️ I’m even thinking of starting my own homemaking vlogs! 😎
