There was a time when I would have seriously considered a Vostok as they are interesting watches, but due to the current events I have a hard time wanting to support any company in Russia right now, maybe someday but not now.

Feel bad that casiok g-shock GA-B2100 is not part of the list , it has tough solar and Bluetooth and 200m water-resistant.

For $150, I like Deepblue.

Hello mate, how about an update for 2023? Of course everything's gone up disproportionately lately but the AliExpress ones even more so. One test I'd really like to see is the amount of backlash in the bezel rings. You maybe unintentionally showed in on the Invicta and it was at least 1 minute's worth or more which has rather put me off it. Props to Quanjin for not trying to fool people with a name like Spinnaker. And isn't 'Cheronometer' a sly intentional poke at the West as in 'Chibson' guitars?

The vostoks did get me. Got one on the way and that was before I just found out about Meranom.

I put my blue Duro on a black leather strap. In my area, you don’t see any high end watches so it stands out.

That first Timex with the orange hands is a beauty. I picked it up a few months back used on eBay (it was new for sure) for just $34. I love it. There are only 3 on this list that I don't own. A person could have a collection of these with none higher in value and be just fine! (I wish I only spent this level on my watches)

Yeah, handset on the Allied Coastline is horrific. Dealbreaker for me, which is a pity because otherwise, it looks like a nice little watch.

I own 2 of the divers on your list (Casio & Invicta) and was summarily laughed at by my friends with Rolexes ($30K -$50K)...almost a decade later and my 2 little divers are still keeping better time than the Rolexes and I've never paid a $1K annual maintenance fee either!

Hi Judy, I have about 30 Russian (Soviet) watches, but the quality of new-ruskis is a lottery. Sometimes really embarrassing. And the steel quality - rust afrer swimming in salt water!!!

Recreational divers dive with air ... not oxygen ... You'd be in big trouble breathing off of an O2 tank at depth.

I have a black Duro that I put on a stainless bracelet from another Casio diver style watch. I wear it to work every so often, and my coworker (whose spent ~30 years at the place I work) commented on it a few times. I explained that the Duro is the best diver style watch you can get for $50, and not to mention the reliability of Casio time pieces. He retired recently and his last day was July 29, and for a “retirement” gift I got hime an identical black Duro and put it on a nice nato strap. I could tell from his reaction he really liked it, and he’s a no-frills guy so he definitely appreciated the value.

I have a Cheronometer on its way to me that I picked up in the recent sale. I don't particularly care for homage submariners and bought it as a bit of fun because of the laughable typos. If it's as good as you say it is that will be a bonus.

I need to learn about what the water resistance meters actually mean. It seems really odd to me to use a scale of meters water when they don't actually mean meters of water.

I want to get a Invicta Pro Diver Sub Mariner homage, but that gaudy "Invicta" on the side of the case.....just yuck.

You've much to answer for Jody! 😂 I was a bit bored this afternoon while recovering from a motorbike crash last Sunday and I bought a Casio MRW 200H 9BVDF (liked the yellow). Cost €24 incl. delivery. A lot of watch for that money. I then bought another Casio - this time a MDV 107 - 1A3VEF in Pepsi colours. €71 incl. I already have 2 Pagani design watches and a Benyar too. I really need to stay away from your channel 😂
