Эй, Хопкинс! Ты, что там? Недоволен? Не нравится правда? Давай Хопкинс, думать о том, какие фильмы ты делаешь, а не о гонорарах!

For Myself It Is Just A-m-u-s-i-n-g The Silly Attempt To Pause This Man While Speaking Up, In Order To " Facial Expressions Be Analyzed"

It Is Even More Bonkers The Idea Itself Of Analyzing A Welsh Born And Bred Citizen, Out Of Strangers Of Other Nation Worldwide, Who Never Lived Or Never Visited, Not Even Once, The Welsh Part Of The United Kingdom.

Watched the last episode and got mad they didn’t made ending for Dolores and William together… Teddy is cool guy but the chemistry Dolores and younger William had is just… amazing. I really loved watching them. Am the only one who thinks Teddy does not suit to Dolores?! Oh my god this show should have ended with only season 1 with ending that Dolores stays in relationship with younger William… What a pity!! Really pity! I watched the whole show cuz of Dolores and William:(

I have never been convinced by an Anthony Hopkins performance. Although i can see his acting brilliance, as explained in this video, i think it lacks emotion or artistic feeling. He is also too similar in everything he plays.

Whenever I see him play a character I see just that, him playing a character. I don't see the individual or person that he is supposed to convey I can just see Anthony Hopkins playing his role. It's like he's mastered the mechanics and technique of acting but never actually lives the character. In a way it's like breaking the fourth wall whenever I see him in a movie or series. I can enjoy the performance and the mannerism and the speeches, but all the time what i'm seeing is Anthony Hopkins playing a character.

Even actors who have less experience and are less skilled are often more able to convincingly play a "character" or a part in a movie, perhaps because they have simplified it more.

Oh, the good old days of Westworld. HBO could let us have only the first and second seasons. The others are not necessary. We are not sentimental types.

Damn I love this video's analysis. But in completely separately parallel to that, I feel like we should also give kudos to the stunning use of soundtrack here. Dr Ford happens to be the single piece of music I'd choose if ever asked to pick a favourite across any genre. I love it's dreamy quality, and how sections build/challenge/evolve each other as it progresses. I also how it is used so judiciously within Westworld season 1. And then how judiciously it is used again, differently but entirely in keeping with its use within Westworld, in this video. The pauses/repeats from minutes 2 to 4 in particular feel like a brilliant re-execution of a brilliant complement to a plot, which must have taken both musical and script editing to align here. Just. So. Well. Done. Sorry if this sounds to effusive but am so impressed with this - congrats to those involved on their talent, effort and achievement.

He really is masterful here. You only have to try reading his lines back as he does, in the same rhythm, and it just doesn't land at all. Sounds like a terrible impression of an over-the-top stage actor. Incredible what this man does, one of the best.

Hopkins is brilliant in his ability to subtly yet unmistakably convey menace or any emotion simply by his facial expressions and the tempo in which he speaks even while he is completely still and his body language calm.
Richard Burton told Dick Cavett in an interview that the ultimate for him as an actor was to get the greatest possible effect on an audience with the minimum possible visible effort. Anthony Hopkins exemplifies this skill incredibly well.

I watched this video many times and I always had the impression that when Ford says "I do hope you will be careful with... Bernard...", he almost puts quotation marks in the "Bernard". To me it sounds like a hint that Bernard was actually an android.

This is fun to intellectually analyze and break down the way he says every line, every word, but the truth is Hopkins is just living in the scene letting it rip. You could take any other take of the same scene and I’d bet 100 dollars that he speeds up, pauses, hits certain words in completely different place each time.

One of my favorite scenes from the series that completely showcases Hopkins' abilities. After Ford's ~demise? the show became "ambitious" - but still worth watching for me.

Unpopular opinion: The Series lived through outstanding Anthony Hopkins a.k.a. Dr. Ford and died with him. Dr. Ford represented what Westworld once stood for: Philosophical dialogue, intriguing, complex but likeable characters and crazy twists. And without him, Westworld turned out to be only a shell of its former greatness.

I think you are exaggerating things a bit dude. I mean at the end of his day its his Job. Do you sit down and check how a janitor cleans a bathroom? Like "here he stops for a second to sees the dirty marks around the toilet seat. He glimpse at it long enough so he realizes he needs to get his Clorox to clean. ..............

It's mesmerizing. In fact, the whole show is. But it wouldn't have been the same without Hopkins. Both him, Anthony Wright and Thandie Newton blew me away. I'd almost call it the best tv-show of the century were it not for that little series called The Leftovers.

Whatever part he plays, he elevates the scene with his acting. I was completely crushed by his acting in The remains of the day. You could feel every emotion and knew every thought of his character, such brilliance. Must say Emma Thompson was also next level acting. Anthony Hopkins is by far my most favorite actor of all times.

Great analysis of all the micro expressions. One that was missed, when Cullen says "I think we even sat at this table" Hopkins gives a knowing downward smile, he knows this is that exact table, it's another demonstration of his knowledge and power over the situation.
