KISS is the best way! Keep up the great work! Next time just use a chain saw!
ОтветитьI e been needing a large shade like this and now I have a blueprint. Your build is easy enough for a simple DIY but complicated enough for me to sweat the entire build. Keep those videos coming.
ОтветитьYou do such great work and are so entertaining to watch. you make things look easy. BUT... I have a question. Why not use a regular chainsaw as a beam saw? And why are you using such large rafters? You cant get that much snow where you are. That is overkill even here in the Northeast. Was it just an aesthetic choice?
ОтветитьNicely done!
Ответитьam I mistaken or do you have a tractor with a front loader? I think we're about the same age, and I like to push the limits, but wet 6x6's up a ladder?
ОтветитьI missed where you plumbed and squared your construction. It still looks good.
ОтветитьSo first of all, great project. It seems a little small but looks good. Dont you hate when youre coming down the ladder and there is a snake at the bottom?
Ответитьyour coming hard with the John C Riley vibe WELL DONE You could throw in some cal norton junior in there !!!
ОтветитьLooks to me like you built an awesome pavilion a gazebo is a hexagon shape not square not rectangle what you built was a pavilion not a gazebo
ОтветитьLooks awesome!
ОтветитьI thought I was the only one afraid of sharks in a swimming pool!!!
ОтветитьSo this is what John C. Reilly has been up to.
ОтветитьNew to your channel here...
When you said "I bet my ladder is in the way now", I about lost it! I can tell you, if this DIY thing doesn't work out for you, try stand-up comedy!
Good lord, I feel like I am watching 1/3 of the Stooges here, < Meant to be a comedic compliment, by the way! I love how supportive your wife is and even cracks-wise, really adds to the quality, but you might want to trade your dogs in for some that will actually chase away that Big Foot that seems to be stalking you, just a thought.
I tip my hat to you young man for hulking those 6 X 6's all the way up that ladder solo, nicely done and OSHA-approved 🤔
"dookie", yeah, you have gotta love his sense of humor.
Thank you for doing these videos!
Your 'dookie' brown kitchen pavilion looks pretty good. I find myself remembering my Cement instructor's lesson for anles that needs squared. 1...2...3.
Ответитьfunny stuff! and the build looks good.
ОтветитьIn mid april, we started our 20'×24' pergola and id like us all to take a moment to appreciate what we wives go through when watching, standing guard and observing our husbands who insist on doing these jobs with their aging muscles and dwindling balance without help from other friends with aging muscles and dwindling balance! Its extremely emotionally and psychologically taxing leaving us SPENT after a full day of hubby pushing the limits! True Story y'all.
ОтветитьMy big three:
Heights
Ladders
Circular saws
On virtually every project my wife reminds me to “measure twice and cut once”. So many times I have regretted not following her advice. Why is it that the cut is virtually always too short…and keeps getting shorter the more I cut?
ОтветитьDude!! Instant subscribe!! Are we related cause man I swear you sound just like me 🤣 I say most of the things you say in the same type of weird voices 🤣🤣🤣 I just said "That'll do now pig" earlier today! Great build, great editing. Love the videos you guys 🥹
ОтветитьWow! If Godzilla stepped on that he would hurt his foot.
ОтветитьI do a lot of DIY projects. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve cut things an inch short when reading the tape measure upside down. It’s embarrassing.
ОтветитьDitch the drill and bolts for some powerlags or equivalent. Sooooooo much easier and faster.
Love the dados. I personally removed all the wood at the sides. That gives me a flat plane to start the chisel which I move through the remaining wood on an angle. Sorta like how I was taught to plane.
"Meat that smells wierd... and then you eat it and are like..." That one got me good... I went back and watched it again just to hear you say it. You've got such a good delivery and your voices and impressions are what make me a subscriber. Thanks for all the laughs... I think your videos are funnier and more relatable when things don't go according to plan.
ОтветитьI didn’t know John C. Riley was so handy! 😆
ОтветитьThis episode of string theory is called Jon Bernthal C Reilly DIY Pavilion
ОтветитьOn a budget… what’s was the budget?!?!
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьHe said that meat smell weird? Lmao
ОтветитьYou will never see Jews doing stuff like that.
ОтветитьGreat job 😂
ОтветитьI've always wanted to build a structure like this. Very nice job, and a great result.
ОтветитьMan, you are so real, a standup guy, I've done the same exact thing. you have a new fan👍
ОтветитьNice to see you visited the thriving metropolis of Woodbine. Lol
ОтветитьVERY GOOD!! Just a BTW, I was taught a L O N G time ago...paint the soffits and underside of all exposed-to-the-open-air surfaces a "Carolina Blue"/Sky Blue (I lived in Chapel Hill, NC for a while, saying often heard was "If God didn't like UNC-CH, why did he make the sky Carolina Blue?). It 'stops' mud wasps/daubers and paper wasps from nest building (why?? No Idea, but might be seen as the sky, not a hard surface?" Also, very relaxing when underneath looking up, as you will be using the beautiful pergola/gaze-bow (as it was called in the movie "The Gazebo").
ОтветитьThat Cal Naughton?
ОтветитьHow old is this video?! I think I stumbled across some of his first vids(less gray). Also back to using Milwaukee I see.
ОтветитьThose are beautiful 6x6 beams. Pressure treated!? Where did you get them?
ОтветитьGREAT job!! Thank you for the inspiration. You. Are. Freaking Hilarious, too! 😎👍
ОтветитьThat is a really sharp looking gazebo but my God, you overbuilt the bajeebers out of that. That would be standing after an apocolypse. Freaking awesome build.
ОтветитьI counted 22 basketball passes
ОтветитьI don’t mean to laugh at your shipping delays/ frustration. I’m just glad to know someone else has my same experience. The more urgent the need, the greater the chance of lost/late shipping. Beautiful project by the way.
ОтветитьAre you a watch guy? Is that an IWC I see?
ОтветитьLoved your ladder antics.😊 Cant help but watch, are you my brother? You are so funny & sound like me! I found a real suprise sister & you look like my Dad. NC? Just saying. Good job!
ОтветитьYou had me at the squatch 😂
ОтветитьShe didnt want you to die lol at least not until the pergola was done!
