I had problems with AVG with false positives. AVIRA actually caught more things than AVG did. My computer is faster with AVIRA. AVIRA 2020 is much improved. I remember liking AVG better in the past. Not any more!

I need help i just want to resolve my problem regarding the looping installation of the avira free anti virus on my windows 7 pro PC 

First I download the avira free anti virus on your website using google chrome then i ran the installer then i let the following modules inside avira to install also all the modules automatically installing after one another i saw the antvirus module installing its the last module to be installed that requires restart of pc.after the installation it has a red panel at  that says "Restart your Computer" the n i restart my PC when i goes back to destkop i open the avira free anti virus  app or launcher that stores the modules then it rejected the installation of antvirus module i do it many times restart again then nothing happends i dont get a protected status on my PC please reply thank you.

What a total piece of crap!!! Somebody got paid to say good things about this program? Thats all I can determine!
As soon as I installed it and rebooted... my windows 10 wouldn't even open... no end of problems when trying to go online or run programs that I had been using for years! Popular? With whom? Do yourself a favor and stay away from this. Unless you just like trying to fix 'problems' on your system.

Don't install Avira. Don't even touch it. In fact, disregard its existence in general. Why?

Because Avira is an insane internet hogger, that's where it really sucks. I got an 80/80 Mbps connection, and when the internet is almost as slow as using ISDN connection after using Avira Antivirus Pro for a few months, something's not right. Tried everything to make it stop hogging the internet, but it was futile. After uninstalling it now just half an hour ago, my PC's internet connection is back to what it should be. Not paying for that shit again.

Hey man i have a question.. whenever i install and use an external anti virus software my windows 10 goes into auto repair loop the next time i start the lap. I have experienced this 3 times with the free versions of avg avira and avast. Can u help me out here?

I use Avira Free. i tried avast: it damaged my windows 8.1 installation had to install windows again. tried bitdefender free. error on update error on update.... i just stick with avira. i agree that the UI need some work and same goes for optimizations but its a pretty good free AV. And also you can turn on PUP detection on the advanced options.

I prefer VoodooShield free: you have Avira signatures+other 60 companies with no luke filewalker. Plus, it's default-deny
