The whole you bored was almost .200
larger than the new bushing. You don't have to shrink the bushing. You have to make a new bushing. As a retired machinist. The bushing and the bored hole should be identical in size. Heat the aluminum head and freeze the bushing.
Press it in and you're done.
This is not rocket science.

The precision tool for measuring valve seat counter bore diameters is excellent. Never realized such a tool existed and figured you'd just use verniers.

using localised heat- aka torches is really the wrong way to haet any aluminum cyl. head.

Can always make dry ice. Baking soda+ acid and i forget the rest of the procedure. For dipping the parts that is. Not sure if you're aware but a lot of the comments are from bot/ fake accounts. They're typically the colored letters and don't have a picture 🙏

Your lights in the workshop are flickering like crazy. It is not really visible with bare eyes but it can cause premature fatigue and headache.

I use PC air duster to freeze parts. Costs less than half of those "freeze sprays" and does the same thing. Just hold the can upside down so the liquid comes out.

What kind of press fit do you use on your seats in a 4 valve head (TRX450)?

OLÁ. 26/12/23. Completando... a ferramenta utilizada é ÓTIMA mas faltou o acabamento final que indica a área de vedação que se tiver invertida poderá em muitos motores provocar a "flutuação de válvulas" que as vezes é confundida por "corte devido a rotação excessiva. ABRAÇOS...Roberto Udo Krapf

I have not seen any reference anywhere for the use of 42CrMo4+QT as a valve seat material. Can anyone add to this? @Paul x ?
