Wilder is such a Godgiven puncher 👊 that all that extra weight did not help him. Honestly I think we may have had a different winner in that trilogy. I mean after he knocked Fury down twice he may have had the stamina to keep him down. He just tiered out so much faster with that weight.

It was one of the weirdest knockouts I've ever seen. He knocked out a massive guy, with a 6 inch jab from behind his head practically, and the guy was totally out, eyes rolling in his head. Helenius said before the fight that Fury had shown they key to beating Wilder, and on the night he tried to emulate Fury, but he didn’t study close enough. Fury kept Wilder at range and put him on the back foot with feints and jabs. He only unloaded on Wilder while Wilder was actually moving back, and then grabbed him and leaned on him before he could compose himself; but when Wilder was actually on the ropes, Fury was standing off and picking his shots, not wading in and exchanging with him. He sensed how dangerous Wilder could still be, on the ropes. Helenius was too careless, standing in front of Wilder & putting his head within range in that situation. He also doesn’t have the speed and reflexes to fight Fury’s kind of fight. But Helenius is a genuine guy and a warrior, I hope he fights again because after giving 25 years to the sport he at least deserves to go out in a win. As for Wilder, it’s great to see him back in the mix. He’s received a lot of criticism over the years but even after his 3rd defeat to Fury, I said that he will always have dynamite in his hands which brings suspense to any fight with any opponent, however good they are.
