Yeah, just checked and the Orzhov's rares were all probably fake. The missing holo watermark at the bottom means that, and idk why I find it kinda funny those are the one you gave away, probably a coincidence. Tho, I'd not trust any of these products on ebay if you intend to play in shops.

THIS purchase goes all the way back to the time of Ixalan's block. I know, so long ago, right? Anyway, I had gone to a Rivals of Ixalan prerelease and had gone 2 and 0, waiting for the last match with my dinosaur tribal deck. Turns out I was versing vampires. So basically, the match was tied 1 to 1 and the third match was just going nowhere, and by that, I mean the game would have to be decided by mill - out. None of us had any card draw, and I had gone second, which meant I was going to mill out first. By the time I had zero cards and he had 1, I attacked him with my dinosaur that stole the top card of his deck, allowing me to cast it for free (of course this did not matter, he was at 0 cards). When the turn became his, he became all butthurt and tried to say "it was a tie", or "solid draw." The judge told me I had won , and the prize packs were 7, instead of the 3 packs for the 2 and 1 record. AND GUESS WHAT I PULLED FROM THE LAST 2 PACKS??? The first pack had a regular zacama (the legendary 9/9 dino), and the last pack had a FOIL Zacama. My heart was just racing at the time. When I got home, I calculated the total value of my cards to be 120 dollars. I made a 95 dollar profit, whew.

I told my mom to buy me magiccards on the fleamarket if she would ever come across some. one day she brought me a few stacks of cards for 20 Bucks and in there was a Gaeas Cradle. Back then it was already 25-30 Bucks.

So I bought some cards off of a kid at my school for $5 or less I don't remember exactly. There was a $60 intuition from tempest!!!, and a couple $8 cards from urza's saga that I don't remember well. Not to mention a dark ritual I use to this day and a lightning bolt as well which was sick. A $60 card is worth $5 in my opinion.

Very skeptical, these "mystery boxes" are controlled in what the seller wants to put in them. I am sure they make a profit off each one. There also seems to be missing rare stamps on the bottom of the orzhov deck. And just random singles from an older set not even in a booster pack...

Bought a pack of Ult Masters recently on a whim and pulled a cavern of souls. Also up there was opening 2 mox diamonds back when Stronghold first came out. Nothing crazy.

Way late to this party, but I have two candidates for best purchase. Years ago, Lion's Eye Diamond was considered a crap rare. Some store at the local mall had someone selling cards out of a binder, and I picked up four Lion's Eye Diamond for something like .25 or .50 each. A few years later, I think a rule change suddenly made the Diamond a killer card which is now worth north of $100 each. Second candidate was when I purchased an eBay lot of one of my favorite cards...Lotus Petal. I think I got something like 52 of them for $15.

I’d have to say my best purchase was slivers when they added them again in I want to say 2014? Bought a lot of them for only 10 cents and today most of the ones I bought are $10-20.

My best MtG purchase is the same best purchase of anyone who plays. My best buy was my first deck from my LGS. He built common/ uncommon decks for $5.00. You just picked two colors and shuffled good to go. Also if you didn't know how to play he would take you behind the counter and teach you.
