I’d like to think that the wide, strong, sharp claws on their “hands” and “feet” is used for rooting itself into the ground. Like a groundhog has large claws to did deep into the soil.

It was good with the temptors. Yes that is a nose on the female temptors but i don't know why they need a nose on them. Their beaks would do the job. Other people imagine the temptors to be fleshy which i know what was in the book but most of them i see are drawn like human skin on them or skin color. I don't see them that way. I imagine the temptors with hard plant like bodies with green hair/fur. That leaf shaped growth on them could be their way of controlling the males like using signals.
