I will need an eSim soon, for I will be traveling to Spain and stay in Spain for a whole month. I wonder if 5G of data will be enough for a month since I will be trying to buy a home in Spain, and I'm sure I'll be using my phone in Spain a lot. I guess my only option is Holafly, but I would like to hear more about Holafly with a tutorial how to set up my iPhone SE 2022. By the way, how can my wife, who doesn't have an iphone compatible with eSim, use that small router so she can share my eSim connection while we are in Spain? Anyhow, thank you for your video. 🤔

Thanks for the Video. I have used Bytesim in both Indonesia and Thailand and it was great. My phone is also locked to my Australian carrier (still under a plan etc) and had no trouble with using Btyesim, cheers

Curious why you didn't add "Orange" to your list of eSim comparisons?

Great review but Google Fi is NOT an option for a globetrotter as, per the terms of their service agreement, they shut off your data after 6 months outside the US. My wife and I use Airalo as we need coverage in Thailand. It's the only option that works everywhere for us.

Great video! It is very well made!! My problem is iMessages in US number. Once I changed sim, my iMessage failed to work … :< One tips for activating eSIM via QR code (by email)) for iPhone. Instead of reading from another device or printing QR code, just taking screenshot or photo. Once opening QR code image by photo app, iPhone still can read QR code. Please try!

Well, isn't it typical of Apple to introduce another phone with eSIM technology? Whether we like it or not, it's like they're on a mission to push us into the future. Who cares if the rest of the world needs to be fully prepared for this technological marvel? Apple knows best, right? Even more amusing is that while they claim eSIMs are the future, they conveniently keep selling iPhone 15 Plus and Pro models with suitable old-fashioned SIM card trays in select countries. It's almost as if they're hedging their bets or maximizing profits. Yet there are at least 14 counties where you can purchase your iPhone 14 or 15 with a sim card tray. Hmm, how ironic. Could Apple's cozy relationship with the big three U.S. carriers - AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon - have something to do with this decision? After all, why cut off the revenue stream from those sweet, lucrative carrier partnerships when you can have your eSIM and your traditional SIM, too? It's all about the bottom line, folks. Welcome to the Apple reality distortion field, where innovation and profit margins go hand in hand

I used to buy eSIMs for all my travels, but stumbled upon Unisim once. It is much easier to use as it is one eSIM for all countries.
And I really enjoyed that I pay only for actually used data without having to buy packages. The most convenient eSIM for me

Hey Michael
Can you recommend a good alternative to Numero ?
I am out of the country for most of the year and I need an eSim that I can receive and make calls reliable.

I have been using Numero but it is extremely buggy and several times when I have a call come in, I go to answer the call and it disconnects.

I am losing out on potential job opportunities and clients.

So just to see if I understood correctly - local providers STILL don't support e-SIMs for calls and text messaging???
You can buy a data plan for almost any country from a third party, but you can't swap your carrier for a different country and make calls as soon as you land???
Wasn't the whole idea of e-SIMs swapping carriers easily without having to go buy a physical SIM from a store and fill up bunch of papers on site and activating it?
Just sign up online, get the code and enjoy the ride feeling safe that you can phone from another country without running up and down in a new place, asking people who don't speak your language, looking where to buy a SIM?
Is this where we still are? I can pay with Apple/SamsungPay anywhere in the world, but I can't swap my mobile carrier because that's too new and modern and scary and difficult to use?

Airalo has worked flawlessly for us. I liked GigSky when it came out but it is finicky and we cannot get it to work on my wife’s IPhone. When you contact support, particularly while abroad, it is challenging to work through problems. When these products don’t work easily out of the box, so to speak, they just aren’t user-friendly enough to bother with. They have to be EASY.

I used Airalo this spring with the regional esim. It was good but customer service was usually slow to get back to me.

I am going to South America this winter. Their regional esim is a lot more expensive than world one. Why is South America so much more expensive? Have you used the world coverage? Thoughts?
Thanks!

Have you ever tried Orange? I saw it being highly recommended, so I was curious why it's not included. It lets you have calls, not just data. And the price is better. I'm just trying to find the best one for my upcoming trip.

Great. I had not tried Airalo or Simly. I have tried now. I am seeing that it helps greatly in some countries like Brazil where you need to activate the card with a local tax ID which is very difficult for a foreigner, and you end up paying an expensive card on landing at the airport to someone who preactivated it. However, I have found the rates not always competitive vs local rates, Morocco for example you get 1 G 7 days for 1 USD, not 8. But Canada on the contrary I found super competitive vs local

Hi I am going just to Italy this year and I already have an account with Numero because I needed an American number. Do I have to use their data plan since they already are connected to my phone or can I sign up to Airlo? And if I can only use them what do you think of Numero? You didn't review it in either of you videos? Thanks.

After that I tried the support service and they didnt give a dawn.
Also they're not sending your money back: which for my understanding is a scammer company.

Avoid them..

Fantastic video but I have a question for you...
Does the Holyfly eSim support the faster 5G signal?
I noticed some international eSims might have unlimited data but it's restricted to 4G speeds only!
