Fury took Wilder’s soul after these fights, seems like he has finally come to terms with it and found peace.

if Mike Tyson was 6'8" or these men were 6'0" either of them goes out in the 1st half of the 1st round against iron mike. they're good but they arent great and their size surely has boosted them to their lofty position. i dont know that mike tyson wouldnt drop either of them if they fought prime mike tyson just as they are. mike tyson had some physical gifts, you don't make it into contention at this level if you dont, but mike tyson was a machine that executed perfect technique every time sometimes his strategy and timing were off but his slips and punches were always tight and crisp. these men start getting into wild haymaker territory at times and stumble more than they should.
looking at older heavyweights like ali, frazier, and norton even when theyre at the end of wars they're still executing technique with machine like efficacy the machine might need a little oil and some bolts tightened but everything they do looks almost textbook. i cant say that about the matches between these guys.

Reason why Ngannou did better.
MMA based clinch with legs to match his upper body.
LEGS LEGS LEGS!
He can carry his 270, and Tysons 270. All ima say.

Tyson Fury absolutely blows my mind... he looks like the very last person that would be dominating the heavyweight division. He looks nothing like an athlete lol. Whats even funnier is when the press asked him where he gets his stamina from and he replys with "i jerk off 7 times every day"😂😂😂 dude is fuckin crazy 😂

It's interesting how Wilder fans kept screaming about "back at the head punch" and "slaps" yet Wilder did so, many times in this fight as well (and previous ones).

I think the stupidest thing Deontay ever did was at the end of this fight. They fought like warriors out there and actually gave us the first exciting heavyweight match in so long. This was the end of the trilogy and Deontay came a long way from the first fight. All the bad blood and everything, after all of this, Tyson goes to Deontay on his stool and tells him that he respects Deontay and he’s a great fighter, and Deontay responds “I don’t respect you.”

Thanks a lot man. You really just ruined it. All of your previous excuses and bad sportsmanship could’ve been forgotten by so many fans if you’d simply responded like a man in that moment. You didn’t even need to do that much, you could’ve just said “I appreciate that” or something similar. Anything but what you actually said. It’s really sad. This was a legacy defining moment, but you really just couldn’t set your ego aside for even 5 seconds to show some sportsmanship after the greatest fight of your life.

Man I just wish so badly that he could’ve responded with maturity and sportsmanship in that moment. That would’ve been the perfect end to such an amazing trilogy. I know how hard it is to be graceful in the face of a defeat that you tried so hard to overcome, but I wish he would’ve found a way. Instead he left a sour taste in my mouth by responding like a pouting child. It really is sad to me. I feel bad for him, he made such a mistake there. It’s the lack of experience I believe. He’s not used to losing. In the first fight, he could convince himself he underestimated Tyson. In the second, he could convince himself Tyson used cheap tricks. In this fight, he was truly beaten and left everything in the ring, even he couldn’t make an excuse for this. It was almost like his first genuine loss from his point of view, and he just couldn’t accept that he was the lesser fighter that day. He came into this with prodigious knockout power like nobody else and dominated his way up the ladder through pure talent in punching and fast twitch explosiveness, he never had time to harden his mentality through loss like every other fighter who started earlier has had to. He’s not used to it. That’s my best guess. I’m just trying to make sense of it because man, I really wish it wouldn’t have ended that way.

Fkn played with Wilder. What a fkn embarrassment it was. With that said, watching Spence vs Crawford, i now know what the fans felt watching Crawford dismantle Spence, cause i felt that way from watching Fury embarrasse Wilder. Now with all that said, this is what we get as boxing fans. You never know how it could be, especially when its out of nowhere lol. Its like when "Expectations" fail, if that makes sense. What you've expected is not even close. I mean as a fan of the sport, you know what a fighter has, and what you can expect from them. When its not even close to what you thought, its like, Damn, am i a casual or something??😂

Wilder is the most overrated HW of my lifetime by quite a distance. His record is appalling. I don't think he'd have even been top 20 in the 80s or 90s and that's without Tyson, in the 70s nobody would have even heard of him. The best thing you can say about him is he had a great right hand but so do most HWs.
