Installing WAMP and Creating a MySQL Database

Anybody in 2020

Sir for the 1st time i logged in with root & null password

But when i restart my pc then i am unable to login with same username root & null password

By the way, if anyone gets a login password error message #1045 for phpmyadmin, just change your password in you config.inc.php to the password for MySQL service. I previously installed a consol so I had to match the password.

I see what you problem is. I got the same MSCVR100.dll error. I installed microsoft visual studio and then installed Wamp again and it worked perfectly fine.

I wasn't able to open phpmyadmin, my solution was pausing antivirus, I'm using Avira...

First solution found: 1. Go to: \system32\drivers\etc\hosts 2. Open it as admin with notepad 3. Delete line: ::1 localhost 4. Save 5. Open command prompt as admin 6. type: ipconfig /flushdns 7. Done Second solution found: 1. Open Firefox 7; go to: about:config 2. Type: network.dns.disableIPv6 3. make it false 4. Done

Open phpmyadmin.config file in your WAMP>alias with either notepad or wordpad. on the second last line, replace 'deny' with 'allow'. That's all you are all set.

I just installed WAMP and started all. I had the same trouble getting into phpmyadmin. I did what you said below. MySql Server is still not accepting the connection from phpmyadmin. What is next?

@mikenku i just fail at installing alrdy i got wamp installed exactly like you just with 2.2 but when i start all services and open localhost or php...... nothing happens :( just white screen in the browser

@FrancisLetrasDrummer You have to open a VPN connection to the school server and connect with the database there with your school username and password. Once you have made the connection to the database it should work.

I already have Wamp installed and it's running and all, however in my WebPage development class, the professore mentioned something about saving the database from my Classroom's computer so I can work on it here in my laptop, I loved the idea so here I am trying but I cannot import my database here because it tells me that it cannot connect to the DB, plaese help me?

@Schneeblyful Try completely reinstalling MySQL, Then just do what he does in the video and nothing else, its when you set a password for something you shouldn't resulting in you not getting access.

What happens when a new version of wamp server comes out? Do I just reinstall?

Ok, It WAS working fine, but now when I go to phpmyadmin I get this: phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server. Your wamp server dont start if you are running skype.
