I like the cl1b but preffer the dbx 160 VU for max transparency

I think this guy needs to refer to a dictionary for what "transparent" actually means. The TT gear has a character and, therefore, affects the signal. Thus, not transparent. 😊

If you had to choose between the teletronix LA2A and the tube tech for a vocal chain compressor coming from a neve 1073 preamp , which would you choose ? Or prefer I love the LA-2A ‘s warm smooth compression but would love to hear your personal preference and why ! Debating on which hardware compressor to buy for my vocal chain

Ambiguous language’s fault. Warm ...what does that even mean. It’s not meaningful it’s just subjective i mean it’s blue so why. Why would it be warm? See it’s all just associated biaswgat any words mean in audio and. Most things!

you keep mentioning rappers lol. rapping, in general, is far more a percussive approach to vocal projection instead of singing which is typically legato-like drawn out notes. it takes the vocals and adds to the presence of the percussive projection and makes it powerful

Idk if it’s just me but the main reason why I love to track is the level range it give me. I push backing vocals tracks way back in the mix and you can still hear every word clear. Or I can push leads up front in the mix with sounding too love or lower the vocals in the mix with sounding to low. Vocals just sit so much better when mixing.
