ОтветитьBoth FRAM and nvSRAM are widely used for modding retro game softwares to replace SRAM, make them save game progress without battery.
Unlike nvSRAM, FRAM is still manufactured in 2020~.
Seems like these could be very useful for holding statistics for measured data that require constant updating (Σx, Σx^2, etc).

It seems there is a race condition around use of fram. If you unexpectedly lose power while reading, you would fail to write back and lose the current bit. Is this correct? Perhaps this could be mitigated by first ensuring that a capacitor was charged enough that it could cover the write back while you were crashing.

ОтветитьSo, if every read requires a rewrite and there is a guaranteed number of rewrites in the range of 100,000,000,000 that means with a 10 MHz read rate of a single cell that cell is broken after continuous reading for 10,000 seconds (less than 3 hours)?
