This song really showcases Tempest and Norum’s talent
Ответитьnorum sometimes sounds a bit Yngwie!
ОтветитьDefinitely John Norum's best guitar solo ever. One minute and three seconds long! If only all his solos in Europe were that long!
ОтветитьEpic Traditional Thrash Metal 🤘🏻
ОтветитьKeep going

ОтветитьEPIC SONG
ОтветитьFriends… this week, we thank Stefania Morese for her question!
Here is Joey Tempest's answer :
Hi Stefania,
How are you?
Good question. Seven Doors Hotel was probably one of the first songs written for our debut album. The notes I made after watching this movie were wrtitten down even before we changed our band name to Europe. One evening when we were still called Force, Norum and myself watched a movie at Peter Olsson’s (first bass player) place. Yes, it was the movie called “Beyond”. Not the best movie ever made. Nevertheless,
in the film I found some words and scenarios interesting. I remember there were “Seven Doors” (gates) in the film that you could enter and there was a fictional book called “The Eibon”. It’s quite funny how some people think I sing “the eyeball is open” in the song, which is hilarious and quite frankly some pretty bad lyrics : )

I only knew Europe for The Final Countdown and Carrie until recently. The funny thing is the movie Hot Rod is what made me do a deep dive into Europe as they are featured prominently in that movie. Some great songs I wish I had known earlier.
ОтветитьMy favorit song
ОтветитьCaaaaaaaaaarrriiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeee😂😂😂
ОтветитьTheme song from Yu Gi Oh! Dragonforce Dimension Season 1. Just Kidding😂
ОтветитьBuen disco sin duda ,los 4 primeros discos son los mejores ,pero me quedo con el disco the final countdown,el tercero del86.

ОтветитьThe guitar sounds so much like Yngwie, a year before his debut album... 🧐
ОтветитьThat building is the Karlskirche church in Vienna.
ОтветитьThe beyond …
ОтветитьJoey Tempest the vocalist "Europe" was inspired to write the song "Seven Doors Hotel" after seeing the Italian horror film The Beyond 1981 by Lucio Fulci a great reference of Horror Film

ОтветитьJohn Norum 🤘
ОтветитьIn Holland it was the B-side of the hitsingle Rock the Night, still remember the first time I played it, I was astonished! It's still my favorite
ОтветитьDom var otroligt bra!!
ОтветитьMind blowing solos by Norum, there's so much more to Europe than The final countdown. Better albums by far such as Wings of tomorrow, Walk the earth... to name a few must listens.. \m/
ОтветитьI listen to this everyday...
ОтветитьTheir first album "Europe" and "Wings of Tomorrow" are my favourite Europe's album.
ОтветитьMalmsteen and Helloween owe a lot to this album, even if they will not admit it...
ОтветитьPancada
