TBH i don't agree at all with you. I'm from Spain. Here football is king and some years the league has been 100% dominated by Real Madrid or by Barça. That is the case for almost all decent sports. If you're better you win. Having a better car, should make you win.

Turning F1 onto a "level playing field" is like saying "let's change competition by randomness". That doesn't make any sense.

The rest of the brands need to step up their game or asume they will fight for second place forever. That is how a sport works.

Ya'll forget that F1 is in no way about the drivers. Despite what liberty media are trying to achieve (which in all fairness has undoubtedly brought some phenomenal coverage for the sport), Formula 1 is about the cars bringing the newest most innovative technology to automotive excellence. There are spec series all over the world showcasing some incredible racing and if the drivers competing is what you want to see the most then it exists, but it's not F1.

this videos is like why cant we just end world hunger or why cant we just all be rich just make better racing 5Head. this is a system problem my guy. the best team with the best car and the best driver will win, thats the nature of the sport. unless you want to remove the soul of the sport and make it into a spec series, one can only hope for all teams to magically hit jackpot and be all competitive. (but even if then make it into a spec series i still think max lewis and nando would still dominate, maybe charles and lando could be there george at the moment have been making a few too many mistakes compared to the others but ill put alex as a surprise cause i think he is still one of the best wheel to wheel driver in f1, he was in f2, he was when he had his first half a season at rb and i think he still is, amazing race craft cool guy and his girlfriend is HELLA HOT.) one solution could also be make better racing, which you implied and yeah thats what the new regs was for. and yeah compared to previous regs this new reg did improve racing but not to the extent of what people hoped for. but also, yes rb has been utterly unbeatable but saying f1 isnt competitive is just false. the racing throughout the field had been fun to watch everyone is so close together its not like before where you have a clear separation between teams theres the front the mid field and then wiliams. now its rb then maybe a sprinkle of ferrari or mclaren but usually its just rb then everyone else. there is actually a stat somewhere that says current f1 has been the closes pack of cars in a very long while. the whole grid is like spread within a second of each other or something crazy like that. i would love to see a season where we can see multiple race winners but then half way through seb just decieds to fkc it and win everything or like that one time where ferrari started the season with a bunch of 1-2 finishes in a row and i actually thought they can do it but then they bottled at the end seb crashed ended his race and the shot at the title or 2021 as controversial as it was that was one of the best seasons of f1 ive watch. maybe they could make racing better, lighter and smaller cats but that would raise safety risks which i dont think anyone is willing to take. AND I CANT BELIEVE YOU SAID THIS YUKI??? FUTURE CHAMPION??? ARE YOU MAD??? IM A YUKI FAN TOO DONT GET ME WRONG BUT YUKI??? NOT CARLOS OR OCON OR GEORGE OR KIMI ANTONELLI WHEN HE MOVES UP? YUKI?? So like, as someone who knew about F1 before, but really only got into it in 2023, I just watch it mostly because I like to watch racing. There is an... interesting mentality around sports in general. Basically, if you aren't 1st place, no one even really cares or will remember who got second in the long run and 3rd wayy wayy less so. Each farther position you are down, people will remember you less (unless you are last in which case you are remembered for the wrong reasons).

The reality is, I think all of these drivers are giving nearly 100% to be at this level, and watching Yuki finishing in the points or Hulkenberg finishing 2nd in qualifying (for a while at least) can be just as exciting as watching Max break the consecutive wins record for me at least. Watching 20 of the top racers from most anywhere in the world compete is such an amazing thing to even see so the whole "same winner + not close championship = boring" mentality doesn't really diminish the sport (at least based on my 1 year of watching Max obliterate everything sacred and holy in the hall of fame lol)

I allways hated the "He has 7 wdc" argument. Like I almost never see anybody prais Alain Prost that way, but if he drioove with modern points system he would be a 7 time wdc. He would be the exact same driver, with the exact same skill sett, but suddenly WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more people are gonna claim he is the GOAT even tho nothing really changed.

I dunno, the technical regulations are already very strict and there is also the budget cap and the sliding scale wind tunnel test time to level up the playing field. What can you do when one of the teams has a walking wind tunnel in Adrian Newey 🤷‍♂️.

2021 may have been the most eyes people have had on F1, they saw amazing battles all season long and now just see max domination and complain not realising how spoilt they were for their first season. One team/driver domination is incredibly normal and it is quite unlikely to have multiple teams battling for wins every race all season long

i feel like thie video kind of just starts but doesn't actually end anywhere. Like, you cant blame the FIA and the regulations for the poor performance and bad choices of the other teams. They were meant to make following easier, not bring teams closer and that should have been pretty obvious. The budget cap is whats supposed to bring the teams closer but again, either they run the risk of having one or two teams figuring the regulations more than the others, or they have what would be pretty much a spec series

The new regulations have actually worked. The racing has gotten a lot closer. The fact that one team has a much better car can't really be circumvented via regulations. Bringing the grid closer to each other as a whole can be achieved and has been achieved. More overtakes and closer qualifications.

A solution to the problem you posed without changing the sport to much could lie in mandatory driver swaps, or something in that gest. Something like "you can only stay at the same team for three years". Other than that, i don't see a way to give more drivers a change to win titles without hampering the enginering side of the sport.

The first thing to help F1 would be turn the Constructors championship into a team Championship and then you would see people like Lawrence Stroll run a second Mercedes garage and maybe Haas run a second Ferrari garage with 2 redbull teams and you start to get the teams into perspective for paddock work instead of trying to guess factory and paddock without really having a way to tell things apart.

Another simple change is that the calendar used to have tracks with varying requirements and sometimes teams would be really good in one type and bad in another, with Suzuka being a special "balanced" track of sorts. But now all Tilkedromes run basically the same corners and requirements in slightly different order or we get tracks that are to narrow for cars in current regulations.

Split the season into 2, the first half have very similar/equal cars. This part of the season can determine the drivers championship. The second half of the season can transition into the engineering aspect and the teams can change their car like they would normally do in an F1 season, which is where they can fight for constructors.

Why is is a problem when its Redbull and Verstappen. All I see is people mad because Mercedes,Ferrari or any of their fa out teams arent winning and dominating anymore.

When Hamilton was dominating they were talkkng about how he is so good and how Mercedes is the best and they make the best cars and now that its Verstappen they are talking about how everyone should use equal machinery and that its not fair.

Formula 1 has never been fair infact if we look at it from the perspective of small teams like Williams Racing they have been struggling for a while but they still compete. The Problem is Bias nothing more.

Ответить
@itshanhan1

What you want would be fixed with equal machinery. What we have is . . what makes F1 great. No amount of regulations will make racing fair in this category unless you make everyone drive the same car. This competition is not only about the driving and the drivers, but it's also about the engineering behind the cars. And taking that away by regulating or completely dismissing it would ruin F1.

I think the way they’ve done this is kind of hard, If you look at it from a constructors point of view then it makes total sense, Redbulls out in front because they’ve literally put the most money into their car and hence made a really good car, however once you add drivers into the mix it does become very hard to balance as you can have a very competent driver like Lando and put them in a Hass and they probably wouldn’t fair very well. In the end if you want to make it fair for the drivers make same spec cars but then that gets rid of the constructors part of the championship essentially wiping out half of the competition. It’s always going to be a challenge to balance raw talent with constructors who have varying budgets and varying amounts of qualified people to make the best car possible which doesn’t always end up happening.
