My Top Five Christian Metal Bands

No such thing

Great choices! When i hear rankings nowadays, almost never hear the OGs called out. I was into Saint, Barren Cross, Bride, Believee, Deliverence, Demon Hunter, Stavesacre. But i also love newer stuff. The thing that bothers me is the lack of any kind of bridge or connection from the true OG Christian metal beginning to now where they are all over the place,on secular labels. No altar calls or pamphlet. No true ministry of any kind. And no acknowledgment of the origins. I could never pick 5......ever. Great video bro. Blessings!

Is Skillet metal? They are definitely the best Christian band in any genre.

Skillet is still my favorite band. But those bands you mentioned are great.

I gotta give a top 25. There are just so many amazing Christian bands out there that don't get any attention and would like to introduce them if I can. If we're only focusing on metal bands, then I have to exclude my 1st & 20th favorite bands, Skillet and Blindeside, because they are rock bands.

I salute EVERY Christian rock/metal band for spreading the message to those who otherwise may not hear the Truth!
However, no band has done more in that regard than Stryper. Thank you for sharing you I never heard of theocracy and I’m enjoying their sound!

Demon Hunter and Impending doom will always be my top 2 because they are what got me into christian metal and in a way got me back on track with my walk. But I always love hearing about new bands also. But I mean who doesnt love Stryper.

I just found your channel today! I'm always looking for suggestions for Christian rock & metal bands. I would LOVE to be able to find that Chaotic Resemeblance on CD, but it looks like it's not available through Amazon. I'm largely an old-school guy but I'm finding more and more newer bands to get into. It's exciting to listen to new music & even more so to feel edified from communing with my brothers & sisters in Christ! Music that lifts up the Lord is so important! For me, it's tough to nail down just 5 bands, but here goes:

Stryper is a great band. In fact, I grew up on their music back in the 1980s. I still have their original cover of to hell with the devil with the controversial muscle-bound winged angels. Still, they are a hard rock band and are not part of the heavy metal genre.

The lead singer of Holy Name, Tommy Green, used to be the lead singer of Christian hardcore band, Sleeping Giant.

you should really show War of Ages some love. Metalcore, maybe beard core, incredibly talented band.

red sounds a bit like a watered down bullet for my valentine....theocracy is by far my fav band mat's voice is stellar and the band is so progressive and head banging....great stuff....

How did bro forget Extol? They literally changed Death Metal, as a Christian band. How did you not know that?
