I'm assuming if you are producing Hip Hop, you have sub added to your studio. If not, the T7V really should be paired with a sub. You're missing that low-end. I have both and prefer the Adam's over the KRK's. Some of what we are hearing could be just how we hear things. The Adams are also a much flatter response speaker. Good honest feed back though.

They are the Consumer version I just picked up their professional A7Vs with 24bit 96K DSP & Built in Sonarworks to Export patches to the Mointor Controlled by Built in Internet port on the back of each monitor It to also address a fully 6 band parametric EQ with ADAM A-Control 799.$ per Monitor 1600$ for the Pair vs 280$ Each the T series where made for people that want to get to ADAM but can't Drop 800$ to 2K$ a Monitor Moreover Theae A7Vs are 👌🏽 For Film Dialogue Hip hop jazz Any style of Music. Now I like KRK but their High End Brand is not the Rokit Series still Consumer grade but the V Series would be KRKs Pro Monitors.

I'v had both. Adams are more flat, more critical listening monitors. Far more true. KRK is more hyped in the low end like a consumer speaker, to my ears they do not deliver a truthful translation of your mix. THe adams with a small sub blow them away for actually getting a mix balance with any source material that isn'e an 808 with a vocal overthe top. Mixing without the hyped sub lows and then turning on the sub to "Get Loud" is IMO a way better way to work than having tubby guts all the time.

Don't believe a guy who's biased with his own gear. Visit your local music store and compare KRK speakers with Adam Audio. The difference is outstanding; Adam Audio surpasses KRK in every aspect.

However, when it comes to subs, it's a different story. I actually prefer KRK subs over Adam Audio subs."

I didn't try the T7V, but I comapred the KRK 5 G4 vs T5V and for mixing my main genras of music (electronica, techno, minimal, psytrance) the KRK is too bright especially for the lows. The T5V was more balanced with amazing highs and tastefully boosted lows.

Wish I saw your review b4 buying the ADAM audio speakers. I have Yamaha hs8 and sub which i love but wanted additional perspective when mixing and totally fell for the Adan hype. I kept the Adam T8v for one week and could not return them fast enough! They added absolutely nothing whether isolated or in concert with my Yamahas. Now I'm considering an old friend Mackie 824 mk2 but i'm not seeing any glowing reviews. So I'm kinda stuck at the moment feeling shell shocked after the Adam audio experience.

Adam A5X, A7X (or newest A7V), or cheaper/budget T7V - all are designed to work with dedicated subwoofers like Adam Sub8, 10 or higher (IF you need to work with very low frequencies). SO just read the manual next time.

Any recommendation? I also heard KRK's have hiss issues 🤨 True or is it people using them wrong?
Thanks for your help.

Hate to say it but you're right.
These sound as bad as it could be.
First time I bought monitors and not pleased at all. I can't even sleep this night. I am pretty upset
Bought them yesterday and already feeling bad about it.
No lows. weird mids. 2+ db boost didn't make a difference at all.
Indeed +2db on high, no go at all.

My hifi speakers are way more fun to listen to.
for the 400 bucks it's a very bad thing.
I gonna switch them for the KRK, and try them out, if not good then no monitors for me at all.
Very dull sound.
Sorry Adam Audio but that's my honest opinion.

Your review on these are pretty solid. Very honest. Thanks for that. I watched this before buying them and it is indeed true. THEY ARE BAD.

You deserved a like my man:)

Question: What do you prefer for me with dance music?
I own a Traktor S4 MK3 and using the T7V's on that makes me wanna crush my head.
My Koda Hi-Fi speakers (that were pretty cheap 20 years ago) are way better sounding then these T7V's.

good thing you have never tried the Yamaha HS7 or HS5, cuz they truly lacks the low end. Cuz i know i owned the HS7 for about a month. Then i had the chance to listen to both T7V and T5V. what i immediatly catch was smooth treble. I do not know why you said it is just another tweeter. for my ears it was instant cuz i took few songs my self where i have listened many times. for me T5V are more balanced than T7V. In a fact T7V lacks little bit low end. But for the price T5V was truly impressive. I dont know others but for my ears it (T5V) is not a hyped product. guess what, I immediately returned the Yamaha HS7 (midrange is bit spicy) and bought T5V. with that I was able to save 140 euros. I did add another 60 Euros and bought PreSonus Eris sub 8. now the setup is incredibly balanced and sounds incredible. BTW sub bass has little bit heavy bass so gotta reduce the sub gain almost two 3rd.

with Adam Audio T7V you need a sub and that goes for any speaker if you're a mixing engineer . if you just produce and not mix than you're fine without a sub.

You're evaluating an analytical monitor as a regular speaker. It's not supposed to have pronounced bass since that wouldn't be accurate response.

One issue with making modern Hip Hop and even electronic music is that for the most part you’re using sounds and samples that have have ALREADY been mixed and mastered by professional engineers to hodge-podge together in a project that sounds like something that you composed. That’s not at all what these speakers were made for. These are for musicians who have a microphone and an instrument/voice and need a true representation of what your microphone is picking up to mix the raw and unadulterated sounds in an honest way. These are NOT meant to sound like your $5000 car stereo system.

I guess when you are conditioned to KRKs with exaggerated bass, you expected a more hifi sound and not a clinically flatter & more analytical reproduction of your material.

i heared over 20 Studio Monitors side by side in a music shop. And i can say the Yamaha, KRK and Presonus have a mid range boost.
The Neumann an Genelog are more neutral and so the Adam Audio also do.
So the question is, have the Yamaha, KRK, Presonus correct mid range and the other to low mids?
Or have the Yamaha,KRK,Presonus to much mids and the Adams,Neumann,Genelec are correct?
By hearing the over 20 Studio Monitors, the Adam(T8v), Neumann and Genelec was the most neutral sound and were in the middle of aberration of all over 20 studio monitors.
So if these are more the middle of all studio monitors i think this is a good base that your done mix sound relativ good on all studio monitors and hifi speakers ;-)

Well yeah, KRK have added coloration, they are targeted for bedroom producers and djs that are just starting out. The V series is what most engineers go towards with KRK. Adam audio released the t series as their budget lineup, they usually make extremely high end products easily above $1000, their top of the line products go up to $50,000. KRK is popular because it's affordable. That's about it. If you are serious about production, you will want to hear every detail so you can make accurate decisions. Adam does actually have a line up designed for DJs. That's what I know at least.

Maybe they were made just for 2.1 to make that selling of their subs? Like. They got to sell them man, they just must.
I am considering buying something for my home office where hip hop and rock are two most played genres. And I was thinking that something is not right when I saw only hyped reviews. I need to hear some monitors before buying. Most-def not buying before having opportunity to test them.

What is your opinion on 2.1 setup for mostly music listening? Is it worth it or would you rather spend more on better 2.0 speakers? 🤔

The Adam audio are for critical listening and mixing the krk monitors are great for production but too me they aren’t good for mixing because they have an exaggerated low end and hyped treble somewhat of a v shaped sound but if your aware of that and understand how to compensate for that you can still mix with them I just think it’s more difficult to do ✌🏽
