Introducing AWS Toolkit for Visual Studio Code

ThxU i am learning about this new skill for me "Developer Software Network" with AWS, i use Visual Studio to my codes. I am DevOps Engineer but more oriented to Software Lifecycle but now learning more about Networking Software Developing in AWS Cloud. Thxs guys

No help in dialogs for connection databases! Documentation in internet old and simple garbage!

I learned to edit a serverless.yml file and use it to deploy my lambda function, gateway and dynamo DB to AWS cloud. The lambda in my case, is a function that accepts a few values and writes a new item to the dynamo DB. So this AWS Toolkit and SAM, is it another slicker way to build and deploy same application to AWS cloud? I'm not clear from the tutorials how AWS Toolkit and SAM fits with what I currently do using VS Code and the serverless.yml file.

you can't use cloudformtion with AWS tool kit..so misleading. it's strictly for SAM apps...

I think its more about AWS SAM development model with lambda. Can you present one video of lambda with API gateway in vscode.

How to setup credentials?

is should add aws xray to lambdas

create and deploy single table dynamodb data model from a schema definition file

add lambda api generation from an OpenApi spec
