I never thought about it but Gilda is the only physical comedian, like Lucille Ball, who actually took what Lucy did to another level. Imagine what she could have accomplished if she had lived longer. Like Lucy did. Imagine all the sitcoms & movies that never got made. I remember being physically sick when I found out that she passed away. And I felt devastated for Gene. They were so in love. She's one like Karen Carpenter or Princess Diana, who if you lived at that time and actually remember them, you actually feel that loss as something palpable.

My mother compared my acting to hers and I watched this to know what she meant as I had only seen a few of her SNL sketches, I am so honored she thinks me even a fraction as talented or funny as Gilda Radner and I hope to embrace her attitude and style even further in my career.

I loved her so much, but omg John Candy was honestly a BABY in those clips! Beautiful souls, lost too soon, but forever immortalized as the biggest talents of my day.❤❤❤

SNL will never have a cast as great as this one. Gilda was the greatest! After all of these years my family still say Gilda's phrases...ummm...nevermind.

Probably my favorite cast member of SNL. I love the Lupners, but my favorite character was the little (bored) girl stuck in her room. I was like that, if I was in trouble and confined to my room, I would bounce off the walls, too. ❤ Miss Gilda.

Surprising that this celebration of Gilda was not done by NBC where she killed on SNL. It’s a shame she was on recognized by ABC!

The fact that people are still reminiscing about Gilda means she was a one of a kind comic. Just like Her husband Gene Wilder. They are in the list of the Beatles, Nat King Cole,, Sinatra and those entertainers who are still talked about to this day.

Though I was still in school, IT was a guilty pleasure I watched through a louvered door. She helped me laugh through a life that had no humor. Part of me DIED when she did and I'M still not over IT!!! Her and Chevy AND Bulushi, it was like you were invading a special Chemistry that if you sat VERY still, you could share it.
