Let me ask you a question public would it be easier if they just text everybody for all that highway stuff the bridge is the tunnels the subway is the buses stuff for seniors and it’s just all came out on our taxes so everybody pays a certain amount towards that and we don’t have this problem with sneaking in people going to jail because they don’t have the money to pay you know what I mean so I ask would that be a suggestion that might work if the politicians are the MTA people did a little math and see if that would work better than what they have now and the money goes towards fixing everything

In all honesty I won’t be surprised if someone got a rock 🪨 and shattered the turnstiles

I live somewhere in queebs, and travel by bus train but most of the time 10 to 20 passengers are traveling inside the bus for without paying but the good passengers are traveling from one place to another due to lack of money ans don't get any help.

They can just crawl underneath

When I was in Kyiv Ukraine in 2020, you could travel all 3 lines of the metro, east-west, north-south and northwest to southeast, which took you to the outer edges of Kyiv, and with abundance of shops and markets underground, you could do all your shopping, clothes and food, and return home, with a transfer for the buses, all for 8 UAH (.22 cents US). The trains were clean, the people were polite and respectful, giving up their seats for the elderly, people with groceries or children and for me, limping from a sciatic nerve issue. No one jumps the turnstiles.

Maybe if these mta executives got a pay cut they mta would not be so broke

I was in East New York station during the pandemic everyone was walking through the door I asked the token booth clerk is it free she said no “they’re just breaking the law.”

The crazy thing is yesterday I was stuck on the train for about 2 hours. Which was supposed to be a 37 min ride. Then on top of it you guys are going so hard on people not paying. Why should we pay you guys when we are always going to end up late to work anyway. It’s crazy how much they’ll spend on stopping us from jumping the train. I was in DC last week. Most places had tall wall style entrances seen here, but not all. I saw a couple thugs jump over at one with basic turn tables.

In the UK, most train stations and London Underground stations have barriers. To get in, you scan your ticket or QR code. To get out, you need to scan it again.

The barrier will not let you out if your ticket hasn't been scanned in.

The barriers are linked to the fire alarm. If the fire alarm is activated, they open up automatically, eliminating the need for a commonly-misused emergency exit.
