I was sensitive combination skin- Only purchased the cleaner and moisturizer and had a reaction- my skin was not hydrated and I got small bumps on my face took 3 days before it went away. Because I bought them from Sephora I was able to get a refund.

Outside of all the greenwashy bs, I just am so surprised at that price tag. I’m not against higher priced skin care as a whole I mean I am a big glow recipe fan, but I feel that I have no reason to believe this is any better than the inkey list. So why is it so much more money?!?!? For 30 bucks the products should be much better and the packaging should be sturdier. You don’t need high price skincare but when u indulge in that it’s like a self care thing. This does neither.

Hyram's skincare line is full or hypocrisy. Definitely not buying it. I was hoping that Hyram would never come out with a skincare line because it is just going to hurt him. Overpriced products in tiny bottles targeted towards teens for their parents to pay for. I unfortunately see that not even Hyram is exempt from hypocrisy. Preaching about enviroment and unexpensive products and here he comes with tiny plastic bottles containing virtually nothing. With the most godawful ad. Hyram himself was very critical of "white-saviorism" in his video about missionary work so I was astonished to see him now commercializing images of African children to sell his own skincare products. Did these African children give permission to have their faces used in advertisements? Were they compensated? Hyram's skincare line is not even sold in Africa!

I believe if he really wanted to make donations he doesn’t need to tell anyone . Just remove 10% from whatever the income is and donate , IMO he just wants to justify his price because he preached against overpricing I guess .

Im really happy that he is being read to shit in this comment section btw. The price, the weak charity (tax avoidance), the white saviourism and narcissism in the PR materials, the packaging sizes that are disability inaccessible because of difficulty of use....it's a mess.

these comments are so lame. i would rather support someone who is at least TRYING to help more than just themselves with what they do, hyrams heart is in a good place and that says a lot more than any of these other skincare brands. "greenwashing" "white saviorism" ? you really can do everything to try to do the right thing and people will be out there calling you worse than people who don't even try to do the right thing. it's cancel culture mentality and small brained

Y'all are forgetting that everything was also ethically sourced, that is expensive, he worked with recycling facilities to ensure that his products were at a higher rate for actually being recycled (most plastic doesn't actually get recycled) and the amount that they donated was from their estimated amount in sales from that year but they did a lump some. Also plastic is less heavy then glass the carbon emission for carrying glass would of been more then this lightweight as eco friendly as it can be plastic (products all in glass is more expensive plus the packaging to keep it from breaking) The guy tried as best as he could. :/ and each serum is suppose to be like 3-5 drops and used in rotation not all at once. A little goes a long way. So if you use everything properly it should last a while. Y'all are mad for "green washing" but sadly it does take money for things to be more eco friendly. For the people commenting not Cassandra.

As a university student myself, I am pretty sure most of the GenZ population cannot even afford to buy these tiny packagings for such a high amount and as my very wise mother tells me, "don't buy something if you think you cannot afford to buy it twice". We wanna change the world but we are also broke :)
And for someone like me (I live in India), the shipping charges makes it absolutely inaccessible.

I feel like this brand launch was unnecessary. There are SO many brands that are amazing and more inexpensive.
First time users don’t want to spend this amount of money, I know I definitely didn’t. There’s also MANY brands that are fragrance free.
I honestly got a biased vibe, that’s just my personal opinion.

I respect you Cassandra for your knowledge and the content. Personally I would never buy any product from Hyram. He is not a dermatologist and is just plugging products in his videos that he is paid to. A pure sponsorship.

There is so many products for half of that price that actually have better ingredient lists

And out of curiosity - what similarity would his skincare have with dermalogica?

what I hate is that it's to help environmental issues, but they're in tiny bottles. the best thing you can do is reduce. buy a glass jar and refill from a shop or something, not keep buying tiny products made of plastic. and the fact the donation was only an "ambition" and may have never happened is awful

So I’m confused and I say this respectfully . As you made this video your skin was broken out , but you used this product . So if this product helped in some ways it obviously didn’t do what you needed in the end which was to have clear acne free skin .I believe you don’t really like the product but you really don’t want to truly bash his product because you still want to play nice with him .

Just a FYI, there are many ingredients that target hyper pigmentation without being Tyrosinase inhibitors. Melanogenesis occurs within the melanosomes of melanocytes and then the melanin is transferred within these melanosomes to keratinocytes. Some ingredients, like niacinamide, prevent this transfer.
